@@j8457 I’m using Display Port for work laptop, HDMI 2 for Gaming Laptop and HDMI 1 (ARC) for Soundbar. I used the remote to switch between Display Port vs HDMI 2. Sometimes no need to switch as it would auto switch to the one it receives signal from (I.e. if both laptops connected to it and I wake up one of them.

@@dragoonxgamer this is bound by GPU, source HDMI/ Display Port and Windows Display Settings (i.e. resolution, refresh rate, bit rate). My limitation is on my RTX 3070 Ti laptop HDMI port (2.0b only) if I choose to use HDMI. For DP Alt Mode I was able to use 4K 240Hz 10-bit HDR with Game Mode (Eco, Basic HDR10+ Gaming, Game HDR Off, Adaptive Sync On). The moment I switched to HDMI, if I want 12-bit HDR color, I need to drop to 2K 60Hz. Hope that helps.

The ppi can’t beat MacBook or iMac display but sharp enough for me to do coding at 4K 120Hz.

If mainly for gaming, I’ll get ROG, especially my gaming laptop is also a ROG. Since I probably can off the lights in room to use it. Further more, ROG also officially certified for G-Sync Compatible with a clear warranty statement that covers burn in. In my case, I spend more time using it for work. Also, the ROG is way more expensive in my country than US (2K more expensive vs Alienware and Samsung).

I’d give it an 8 for my use case (work and entertainment in bright room) Why 8? - Non reflective display (usage more than 8 hours a day) - Act as 4K HDR TV, with speakers supporting Dolby ATMOS - Slim profile (thinner than my 2019 iMac) - No issue with 4K HDR 240Hz 10-Bit RGB/ YCbCr 4:4:4 VRR PC Gaming Why Not 8.5? - No Dolby Vision - No Official G-Sync (But I enabled it anyway with no issue) - Built-in Netflix can’t do HDR (i use laptop Netflix for HDR with ATMOS) To Avoid? - If you really like glossy display (yes glossy looks nicer vs matte if environment supports it) - Burn In Warranty is a grey area (at least to me) - No DP 2+ Let me know if that helps…

I chat with Samsung agent online prior to placing my order. She said the warranty statement online was for existing standard monitors (that didn’t mention anything about burn in). The latest model she said has burn in protection. 🤞🏻

Game changer? Why do they not provide burn in warranty in that case in any eu country, while every other manufacturer does for 3 full years?

​@@ydiadi_ Obviously the primary differences would be the CPU and GPU (Intel i9-12900H vs AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX) and GPU (NVIDIA RTX 3080/70 Ti vs AMD Radeon 6850M XT/ RX6700M). You might want to find reviews of the CPU/ GPU to find out more. Other notable differences probably the display (M16-165Hz vs Legion 7-165-240Hz) and I/O ports (M16 has Thunderbolt 4 vs no Thunderbolt 4 for Legion 7). Finally the pricing differences and design (look and feel). Based on your budget, get what you need and like. :)

Probably depends on budget vs specifications, as I’m not sure on the pricing for G14/15 so can’t really comment on that. In terms of differences (other than the CPU and GPU performance), probably need to consider between a 240Hz (G15), 165Hz (M16), or 120Hz (G14) display. If you prefer high refresh rate display then obviously G15. Oh, screen size too. Also, if you like the Anime Matrix feature then G14 is the only choice. Hope that helps.

Depends on your needs, the most powerful of them is the m16, after that the g15 and last but not least the g14

Zephyrus G15 (especially White) is the best ROG laptop this year in my opinion. Also Dave2D confirms that.

anyways, hows the battery life this year( silent profile)? Last years 11 gen chips were very inefficient and ran hot .

@@waalizargar5172 Silent + MSHybrid + 60Hz refresh rate + MS Edge Browsing Only = 1% battery drain every 3 minutes or so. The test ran for 30 minutes and at the end of the test, 10% battery drained.

This thing is pretty nice. I returned it though because it runs too hot for my liking.

With naked eyes in dark room and blank screen saver, didn’t notice. However when used phone to capture a video of the display then noticed bleed from all 4 corners.

In my country (Malaysia), all 3 variants come with backpack, but only the 3070Ti and 3080Ti variants also come with a mouse. (note: The 3080Ti variant also come with a headset)
