I am creating this channel to help educate folks on everything related to aquarium plants. How to videos, maintaining plants, fertilization, co2, lighting maybe some terrible aquascaping as well! An opportunity to share my business with likeminded hobbyists across the USA.
Thanks for watching!

How to build an aquarium stand! (hack job style)
I decided to record a video of me building a stand that will hold 3 aquariums.
Enjoy! No need to comment on how I "Should" do it because it does not matter.

Planting dirt tank

Part 2 of our Dirted aquarium, no scape, simply planting for the sake of it, grow some out and sell it. Id like to show that even with this cheap substrate it is possible to grow and maintain even the more difficult plants. How to make a DIRT substrate aquarium.
Переглядів 4402 роки тому
A step by BORING step process of how I set up an organic soil aquarium with a sand cap. By far the most budget friendly substrate for a planted aquarium. While there are certainly easier methods, this will give your plants all of the nutrients they will ever want unlike most of the alternatives (eco complete, seachem flourite, fluval stratum, sand, gravel) Don't forget you can use my coupon cod...
SAVE LOADS OF MONEY!!! Mixing your own fertilizers. IT'S EASYYYYY

www.Iwetmyplantsaquatics.com I will show you how to mix your own fertilizers to save you loads of money. There is no reason to spend incredible amounts of money on "all in one" fertilizers. The recipe provided by the company who produces these fertilizers is below. The best part is you can adjust this recipe based on what your tanks need! Macros: K2SO4: 29.3 Grams KNO3: 32.6 Grams KH2PO4: 2.9 G...
Comparing Fzone, GLA, CO2ART CO2 regulators!
Переглядів 9 тис.3 роки тому
As an owner of Fzone, GLA, and CO2 art; CO2 regulators. I thought it would be a great idea to compare all 3 as a follow up to my "How to" video. In terms of functionality they all perform the same with the edge going to GLA for a very precise and easy needle valve. In terms of overall value the victory goes to Fzone all the way. Starting at $165.00 less than the competition and otherwise reachi...

great review I'm wondering if you have a source for some parts no response from their web. home page nor Face book page Thanks

Awesome video. Thank you for being detailed and thorough!
Is this what you use for your grow farm tanks?
Sure is, for years now!
I cranked on the nobs like you said, but now the nob keeps getting looser the more I crank it, and it’s spraying CO2 everywhere…please help
Did anyone find a solution? I’m having this problem to.
***HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM*** DO. NOT. CRANK. ON. THE. NOBS! I had the same thing happen!!! I compltely followed his instructions tightened everything AS HARD AS I POSSIBLY COULD and IT STARTED LEAKING OUT OF EVERYWHERE! I reckted the entire regulator😢 I bought a new one and I only tightened the nuts FINGER TIGHT ONLY it seemed to work better… don’t crank on the nob like he tells you to TRUST ME
Why 2 bubble counters?
For multiple tanks 😃
So how do you feed your heavy roots with that, do you make root tabs out of it, or just feed all of your plants with the liquid method?
That were there the benefits of aquasoils come I to play. As they absorb nutrients from the water column. It takes time to build up but it is rather effective in my farm tanks. You can always choose to supplement with root tablets as well.

None of these get an industrial dual stage welding regulator for the same price but much better build quality. Also purchase quality a separate needle valve and fit it yourself.
does a welding regulato work with a solenoid, or do you just go inline at that point
Howdy Brandon!!! Would it work to somehow diffuse the c02 in the return chamber of a sump and let the returns push it into the tank 🤷🏼♂️
The lifetime warranty alone makes it worth it and the quality and reliability on the GLA is second to none. FZone is cool but the solenoids they use are notorious for failing.
Orlando at GLA is a pleasure to work with. I have only had 1 solenoid fail. That was the GLA. It was replaced with no hassle but it took 5 days.
I have an OCD, can I remove one bubble counter if I am using this for only one tank and don't need another one? :)
This review is not complete. Although the manifold blocks on FZone and CO2 Art do appear to basically be the same, the solenoids are not. FZone solenoids are notoriously unreliable and also don't work reliably with Milwaukee controllers. CO2 Art Solenoids are reliable and work with third party controllers. GLA manifolds are designed and built to survive a nuclear war, but you don't necessarily need that in an aquarium CO2 manifold.
3 years and my Fzone product has operated perfectly fine. I do not promote them and I get nothing for this. I love my GLA product but I have had to context them for replacement parts.
@@brandoncampo9642 I don't doubt that under most circumstances they work fine. I have tried FZone twice. One of the regulators I received had a completely defective solenoid. OK, that happens. The second worked correctly using a timer but was not compatible. with my Milwaukee pH controller. Granted, as far as I know most people don't use a pH controller. It is definitely a nice-to-have, not a must have. However, a decent number of people do use them and not working reliably with the most common pH controller on the market is a definite minus. I have also heard from others that they have had solenoid problems with FZone as well.
@@davidabrams9078 I'll chime in here and say my FZONE (I have the cheaper model, not the pro one that uses modular manifold) had to have its solenoid replaced immediately. The second one came in with no problems and has worked fine for years. I'm really disappointed that this video makes it look like fzone and co2 art are identical because lots of forums are saying the quality on co2 are is leaps and bounds above, but it looks like the needle valve is identical. pH controller doesn't matter to me. So now I am paralyzed in my decision making because i was willing to pay the extra but this video has given me doubts that i will get anything out of "upgrading"
My fzone is not working properly with the Milwaukee ph controller. Before I purchase another regulator what can I do?
Wow co2 art is expensive in the us. Ive paid mine 185 eur in europe. I think thats just below 200 usd.
awesome vid thank you
What a great video
I have a 90 gallon running a wetdry and filter sump connected to eachother and interested hooking up co2 to my tank ..
Thx i bought this product because I was pleased with you vid keep it up bro ....what lights you use on you tanks bro any tips on that
Very well done. I enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing.
Dude this is the best video i've seen about this topic. Thanks a lot brother. Nice yt nickname pun too.
Very informative review. The safety valve will release the pressure when it exceeds 100 PSI. Does it mean the first, second, or both valve(s) need to be less than 100 PSI?
Great presentation , appreciate your channel & hope to see some more whenever you have the time ? Truthfully I have never been a Live Stream watcher compared to created content & I am a You Tube junkie. Maybe the idea is not for you but your channels content already is a livestream - the technical aspects that can occur , but you get Moderators for that ? Subs & sales would $ure go up and you probably only need a few upgrades for audio ? Sorry if your not interested ? 💙💚
I have aspirations for the future.
@@brandoncampo9642 Awesome
Do you use check valves on every single line going to the diffuser or nah and just let the co2 push water every time? Does it eventually make you empty the bubble counter?
🙂👍💯
New subscriber 👍
P?O?O?m ?
More than just Neil, you know! Thanks for doing this. I didn't do the double-sift the first time I tried it, and I didn't leave the space around the edge for sand. Great tips! Thanks!
Appreciate the unbiased opinion. Thank you!
How the hell is this unbiased? He’s makes a commission off of selling one of the items he is comparing lol
This was a surprisingly excellent overview. I learnt a lot - thanks!
Great video thank you
Glad to help!
Best video sharing friend ,greetings know me from malaysia 🙏
That Rotala made a complete transformation once you put it into the tank! So pretty!! 🤩
Nice work! I appreciate the care you took in sifting the soil, and then even mixing it a bit with the Fluorite to help prevent compaction. I've used this exact same method with some success, but I did too deep a cap which did lead to sulfate gases nuking plants and snails. That particular Fluorite (is it Fluorite Black, or Fluorite Black Sand?) is somewhat fine compared to most Fluorite and only needs a cap like you used - 3/4"-1", max. I used more like 1 1/2" to 2" in the back, where the sulfides were the worst.
I am glad I read your comment since I just dirted a 40 B , capped w/ PFS & then to be safe capped that w/ Super Naturals sand from PETCO . I better get some out so it's 2 " total cap 💚💙🐌🐚🏞️
Can’t wait for part 2…….thanks for sharing
Thank you! Coming soon!
Thank you for this video. I was so nervous to use CO2 and you made it seem much easier than I thought it was going to be.
My pleasure, glad I could help!
So so helpful. I’m putting the plants in cycled tank today, and had put off setting up the CO2 system. I’ve only used the Fluval kit prior to this, and decided it was time to get something better for my new Fluval Flex 15. Still haven’t bought the CO2 canister yet. Going with the FZONE CO2 generator first to dip my toe back into the aquarium world. I’m sure I’ll want to upgrade to the Pro regulator sooner rather than later. Ha ha.
Pressurized CO2 is much more consistent in its delivery and much less of a hassle. Like many things in life, the less of a hassle, the easier it is to do right! Glad to help if you have any questions. Thanks for the comment
I’m from Tulsa where do you get your CO2 tank
I get mine at local brew supply stores. I am not in Oklahoma. Otherwise companies like “air gas “ can help
Welding companies like oxarc or medical gas companies like Norco also carry co2
👍 Promo-SM!!
Good tips. I might have to try mixing my own now.
I'm pretty pleased with my fzone co2 regulators, definitely can't complain about the price compared to others. I wound up getting into contact with their customer service when I was searching for additional manifold blocks. Apparently the FZone, Co2Art, and UNS regulators all come out of the same factory. The parts are pretty much identical bar the adjustment knobs, finish, and pressure relief valves.
This helps.. Thanks!
Great content! I look forward to seeing more
Very informative!!
I have the same regulator for a year now. I am very pleased with it. Highly recommend!
Awesome video!
Keep up the good videos.
Thank you boss
Very informative. I love it. Definitely gonna start co2 now
