Absol after gen 3 is great but in gen 3 it is still physical attacker and doesn't have special attack to back up a poor moveset. Mightyena is also a physical attacker but can learn bite and crunch,shadow ball and it's fine. Can be obtained early in game. Sharpedo has water type and i allways go for Swampert and Cacturne isn't that good. Sableye is a poor pokemon.

Is it possible for me to breed my lvl 50 larvitar with the moves, Crunch, Rock Slide, Earthquake and Hyper Beak with a female larvitar, where the baby lvl 5 larvitar will have those four moves?

Charizard has some pretty good choices Slash it learns by level up and it almost always crits for big damage including against water tpes Flamethrower has more accuracy and pp than fire blast is learned by level up and is very strong Earthquake can give it some coverage to damage electric types, dual rock ground types Submission could give added coverage against the defense heavy dual ice water tpes I tried fire spin but it is not accurate enough and charizard doesn't have a good way to combo it with paralysis. Bodyslam sometimes paralyzes but I found slash did so much more damage that the chance to paralyze wasn't a good trade off. I didn't need swords dance because the stat boost from it isn't applied if the move crits like slash always does. What kind of moves did you guys try? Charizard is a pretty fun pokemon to run especially if it was your starter.

Could you use Agility to boost Seaking's speed and then go for OHKO with Horn Drill? If so that would make Seaking stand out among water types.

I actually went up against a guy who ran Hitmonchan even though most consider it non-competititve he used it effectively! He used Ice Punch for the freeze instead of Body Slam.

Arbok is one of my favs I go with Glare Wrap Earthquake Rockslide Toxic wrap would be cool I just find it hard to pull off because Arbok's speed is low and it can't take very many hits it is also weak to a lot of common powerful attacks like psychic and earthquake. I got a lot of use out of Rockslide though especially against Zapdos a lot of Pokemon are flying type so it helps. Rockslide also helps against ice types I find this useful because a lot of people use ice types to try and pull off a freeze status condition. You could experiment with Mega Drain I'm not sure though because if you are in a situation where Arbok is up against a rock ground type usually you have to switch otherwise Arvok runs the risk of getting KOed by a STAB earthquake.

Golbat cannot normally learn screech if you catch a zubat and evolve it into Golbat by level up it will never learn screech, however there is a legal way to get a Golbat with this move; you have to catch a wild Golabt in the Seafoam Islands. It turns out for Golbat to learn Screech normally it has to be underleveled when it evolves this isn't possible for trained Pokemon without hacks. However in the wild you sometimes can find Pokemon that were underleveled when they evolved (a stage 1 or stage 2 Pokemon that evolved early) or are underleveled evolutions (ex finding Level 30 Weezing in Pokemon Mansion). If you find a Golbat that was under leveled when it evolved in the wild or if you can find an under leveled Golbat it will know Screech. There is no in universe explanation for why or how Pokemon are capable of evolution when they are underleveled in the anime we see instances where a trainer's love for their Pokemon can spur it to evolve early but how this would work in the wild is a mystery. In the first episode of the anime we find out from the Pokedex that wild Pokemon are often jealous of trained Pokemon and so maybe this can trigger an early evolution, perhaps if a Pokemon's nest eggs or young are in danger it will evolve to defend them from predators. Professor Westwood might know how Pokemon evolve when they are underleveled in the wild. In the games Team Rocket experiment with forcing Pokemon to evolve early and Zubat and Golbat are commonly used by Team Rocket members, it is possible that the screeching Golbat and other wild Pokemon that were underleveled when they evolved are the results of Team Rocket's experiments and are not natural.Interestingly enough Team Rocket's evolution inducing experiments used radio waves that sounded like a terrible screech funny that Golbat learns this same move as a result of evolving early perhaps a nod to how this happened.

I feel like the exclusion of Dig here was criminal lol Dig offers Arcanine such a great opportunity for aiding you in defeating Rock, Poison, Electric and other Fire types in Gen 1. Flamethrower > Fire Blast all day long, extra power means nothing if you miss, STAB will make up for the slightly lower Special. Hyper Beam vs Body Slam, this one is totally up to the player, although I prefer Snorlax to have Body Slam, so Hyper Beam is my go-to for Arcanine. As for the fourth option, I like to use Reflect too, but Toxic isn't necessarily a bad option for him either. He's tied for the 9th fastest Speed in Gen 1 (in the top 30 of all 150 of Gen 1), so getting an early Reflect or Toxic up as a lead is pretty awesome. I personally don't use Toxic on him, but it does add variety. I prefer to give my Exeggutor Toxic, b/c the double dipping of Leech Seed & Toxic in Gen 1 is grossly overpowered. So, for me, in my humble opinion, the best Arcanine Gen 1 move set is: Flamethrower, Dig, Hyper Beam/Body Slam, Reflect/Toxic

Another thing to note: teh real cartridge has a small battery for a running clock included, where the fake on does not. I found that to be the most obvious way to understand that my cartridge was sadly a fake. I am sad now. Just bought it on eBay :'( Because all the rest is pretty damn close to the original.

Since 80% of the pokemon pool is pretty much useless, i woulda thought instead of trying to give advice on a competitive moveset (that you're literally taking from smogon no less), a non competitive/in-game moveset would be much better. For one, it's content nobody has. You're not going to waste time building a competitive set just to defeat the elite four either. The only reason people aren't doing it, is because they are the type to just tack on 4 level up moves and call it a day, without even thinking about coverage. If people actually gave in-game movesets some thought, then it wouldn't be so useless. Some people actually want to use togetic in the game, and this poor moveset is so bad i wouldn't even wanna touch togetic for casual play.
