Mary Wilson: Legendary Recording Artist, Best-selling Author, Music Rights Activist, Goodwill Ambassador.
For Mary Wilson, what started in Detroit back in the early 1960s as a founding teenage member of Motown’s super girl-group The Supremes led to a career spanning more than 55 years.
The Supremes reigned as the top female recording artists in the world, knocking the Beatles off the charts more than once. When Diana Ross turned to a solo career in 1970, Mary went on to lead The Supremes until the group disbanded in 1977. In 1988, The Supremes were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
While Mary continued her career as a recording artist and worldwide performer, she found time to write two New York Times best-selling books: “Dreamgirl: My Life as a Supreme” (1986) and “Supreme Faith: Someday We’ll Be Together” (1990). In “Supreme Glamour” (2019), Mary captures in words and pictures the glamorous sophistication and elegance The Supremes embodied.

She absolutely bodied this performance, vocals were on 10 and body was tea. amazing
RIP 🙏 Mary 💜
Pure 1000% class and enjoyment.
Mary has a much stronger voice with a wider range than Diana's voice. Mary sings with a lot of soul. Its unfortunate that it took so long for her to step out front. She's great!
Florence was more talented than Diana and everyone knew it. Its sad how she was bullied out of the Supremes by Diana and Berry Gordy whom Diana was sleeping with at the time. In one book I read Diana even tried to run Florence over in her car. Florence shouldnt have turned to the bottle after it , she should have whacked Diana over the head with it. R.I.P Florence. Always the most talented Supreme. ❤
Yes Mary you did Walk The Line, high stepping in your high heels. You danced your dance. You sang your song. You lived your life Supremely. ❤ U always, Touch.
They were amazing there no womans groups that sing like them
Sublime & wonderful!
ALF: QUE RITMASO!!!
What an assembly of youthful memories. Andy seemed distant from his Supreme guests. Also, Andy was blandy.
Long live the Supreme Ms. Wilson. 💐
The Supremes were 3 very talented ladies. Such a shame only 1 got the spotlight. There was room for all 3
This is like a gospel song Jesus is on his way ,ain't that good news it reminds me of going to church back in the 1960s
I'm playing this today for my one-&-only daughter who's a last born too. Loads of love darl ❤
The Supremes should have sung more songs in harmony. Diana's vocal was always overbearing. Studio recordings should be remastered with backing vocals by Mary, Flo and Cindy brought more upfront to create a harmony!
How were Mary and Flo mic'd? Seems like a boom mic would be too far away...
Queen! Slay. I love her soooo much ❤❤❤❤❤
Go, Mary! This HITS!
Flo and Mary did some tight backgroud vocals on the Original Supremes Recordings. I love listening to the background vocals.
Ross stinks.
You Ross haters must be on someone's payroll.
I think it's you ,I smell you all the in CAROLINAS..go clean up,you stink..lol.
Very beautiful voice with a lot of feeling.
Happy. Birthday.n. Miss... B❤😂
They sound amazing! And this is with 60s live TV sound engineering - true talent from all 3 women :)
A powerful deep sexuality with an equally powerful voice.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ My passion for them s still intact since my teen age in Britain 😊😊 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
Diane was on her knees for Gordy 24/7 early as 1965
Live
Beautiful 🤩 gowns 💙
To each their own. Dave
Diana full of myself Ross - Mary Wilson was a babe
Don Ho brought me here Blessings and HUGS! 👑💜
I like this version better than the original. The original version with Diana Ross was good but Mary brought more soul and depth to the lyrics. She has a beautiful voice with a lot of range,
Wow! Flo and Mary sang a line but you could barely hear them because they had no mikes...and the camera never zoomed in for closepups when they sand lead lines. I'm sure Berry Gordy was behind this crap. Mary doesn't look happy and never smiles. Thanks for sharing.
The greatest girl group ever.
Dang you could really hear Mary when the song started that's superb supreme Alto voice of hers❤❤ I believe Florence is using her Alto register right now on this song even in the studio when they recorded it. Her voice blended with Mary's although we know she is a mezzo soprano usually.
Wonderful.
Love It!
The voices, the clothes , the set...Supreme
Without Flo they were nothing!
Did this air on TV or was this rehearsal footage?!
Great band with her hot performance.. I think that's Ray Pannell on guitar to her right there..
It's amazing what a difference 60 years can make. I was around back then and I can assure you the most anyone thought about this was "that's cute" or something similar. Now it seems like a historic moment filled with significance.
Yes we miss you Mary ❤️😘
Flo shines through the whole video. RIP Dear Flo.
Yes!!!¡
Love you Mary Wilson see in Ressurection promise by Rev 21:4_
I loved this song when it came out. I met Mary once at a show of Jennifer Lewis's in Hollywood and told her how much I love this song!
Hope these two beautiful ladies are back together again being fabulous, young, and healthy 💕
