This is a deeply spirit laden place and I used to own a gentleman's farm not far away. I should have stayed put. There are nearly a thousand beautiful gorges in the Finger Lakes, but Watkin's Glen is the Grandmother of them all. The idiots concentrating on I-phone photos might better have stayed home and watched your video instead. I did and am grateful for your effort. The absolutely only time of year to visit. The rest of the time it's dry, barren with no shade, whatsoever. CVL will also charge you to hike the path around it. I live nearby, and all around us were hills covered in poppies. Miles and miles of them. Enjoy!
