    Just turned on the good old Crock-Pot using this recipe as a suggestion. I used better than bullion roasted beef base, 1 pk of beefy onion soup mix, 1 pk of beef gravy mix, s&p, onion powder, garlic powder, sliced raw onion and a can of mushroom soup. This is what I had in my pantry so I improvised. I think it will be just fine by dinner time. Wish me luck.

    NOBODY shows how thick a steak you can cut. Everybody just shows how thin a slice they can make. I just wish SOMEBODY knew that some people enjoy a nice thick STEAK.

  • @emmettturner9452
    @emmettturner9452 2 місяці тому

    The cost of the parchment paper probably wipes out any savings you get from block cheese if you use a whole sheet between each slice. I’d cut it into strips to make each sheet go much further. It doesn’t need to cover the whole slice, just enough to start separating without breaking the slice. Strips just over one-third the area of a slice should do the trick.

    • @emmettturner9452
      @emmettturner9452 2 місяці тому

      If you don’t want to cut the parchment you can also fold it in half around the edge of one slice of cheese to get double the use out of it.

    NEVER punt your left hand near the blade…keep it behind the sliding try guard or always behind the unit to catch food. Watch your own video and you’ll see what how dangerously imperiled your left hand looks. Be safe and God bless.

    I steam eggs for 11-12 minutes (adding eggs to the pot only after the steam is rolling) then, as you did, immediatly immerse them in ice water - which is the key. The rapid temperature change separates the membrane and make peeling easy. The advantage to steaming is that the eggs don't get tossed around and cracked.

    All the nutcases thinking she was going to lose a finger... GET REAL! She did a great job. Her hands were never in danger. Her primary dominant hand was on the pusher, and her left hand was behind the cutting side catching the bread. There was no danger, it's just the angle of this video. Seriously! This isn't a Woolworths deli meat slicer where your digit is lost in a second. Geez... 🙄 Great video btw👍👍

    Love my crock pot. It's a valuable friend when I have to get dinner together and tend to outdoor chores I won't be near the kitchen to tend to a stove. BTW you're like the Macgyver of the pantry. Good job putting dinner together. I'm sure your family appreciated being fed a wonderful meal.
