Visually I'm the exact opposite of you. Im hispanic but culturally and visually I'm white. My hair is pin straight, absolutely zero texture at all😅 definitely the other extreme of the spectrum. Idk if it helps at all to hear this, but I've always thought 4C hair is absolutely breathtaking. And I really respect people that take the time and care to rock their natural textures. I can't imagine how much maintenance 4C requires to keep it healthy and behaved haha, and I'm sure I don't even know the half of it. I can't imagine putting that much care into my hair so consistently but I seriously admire y'all that do❤ because man, does it pay off! 4C hair is so so beautiful 🥹

Hey boo. I hear you. I think once we start realizing that we ARE the beauty standard we understand that it’s not something to necessarily fit into. We create the beauty standard by the things we perpetuate, we wear our natural hair more often and show the young women coming after us that natural is beautiful, only then does it become normalized, and even further, standard. We cannot expect others to accept us as we are until we accept ourselves as we are. ❤

I agree. There is this idea that all fare skin people have a loose curl pattern. When in reality black people can have any texture of hair even if your light skin or mixed.
