You're wrong in respect that legally you DO have to provide the operator ID number and also the identity of the operator if requested by the police. You don't need a flyer ID for a sub250g drone, so you don't have to provide ID as the pilot, and the registered operator may well be someone else. As an auditor, you should know the law, so just trying to help... It's all detailed under the Air Traffic Management and Unmanned Aircraft Act 2021 Section 9 Subsection 2.
