I agree Matt, it's a good system. Some people say it's a bit jerky at slow speeds but I never used it at slow speeds. Also, I don't think I am ready for the up/down quick shifter that modern bikes have. That might make things too much "automatic".

@@mirchiboyz you’re exactly right, I think a completely automated shifter would feel much too easy and would take away a lot of the fun for me. Those that say this one is “jerky” aren’t using it correctly in my opinion. It’s not for going through town at 20-40% throttle, stoplight to stoplight! It’s for hunkering down, praying that front wheel behaves and giving it the beans while snapping those shifts off right before it bounces off the limiter! That’s where it performs, and beautifully I might add. Also, love the color on your MT. Wouldn’t be surprised if you’re like me, I’m not planning on selling mine anytime soon, if ever. It’s everything a fella could want I think. No storage, but that’s not why I ride.

@@mattmt0918 100% agree with your thoughts including this bike being a keeper. Unfortunately, I sold mine, I regrated it immediately and I've been bouncing around different bikes since then. But it's all good

@@MarcelRodriguesDias I appreciate the kind words friend. Yes, for now gas flows through the pump directly into the carbs. No inline fuel filter at this time but the manual petcock does have built-in screen. I want to ride it some more then I'll finish everything up and properly install an on/off switch for the fuel pump, possibly over the winter.

@@danmeckle8248 Went with a PW50 CDI, new coil, and a new spark plugs. When you run the early model years without a battery it starts frying components. The wiring loom is stuck behind the headlight, in the bucket.

Kawasaki and triumph wire plugs are different so I ran wires to test the part and to see if my connections are in the right spot.

Zzr1100 is next on my list. Speed feels so different on these long, heavy but powerful bikes. 80/90 mph feels like 45. 100% agree with you on styling. I appreciate the comment. Ride safe 🤙

You have to get a hole saw and a long extension. You drill through the exhaust tip end and go through two layers/chambers inside the muffler. Makes the exhaust louder and gives it a unique sound and you get to keep the catalytic converter. Without the cat, exhaust really smells

Also, what's that air inlet out front?

It was not tuned. I inherited a messy project. I got it running on eBay used carbs. I passed the project on once it was rideable

It's just for show. Part is from a 2000 ZX12r
