Breakdown:
Avatar (The Third Floor/ Lightstorm) - Worked on set as a virtual production artist, animating character and camera blocking/choreography. Created capture packages for shoot days, and performed real time animation support during live shoots. Cinematics were created from script pages and concept art. No storyboards were available during the process, so first unit and second unit relied heavily on our team to deliver physically accurate and reliable representations of future setups.
Frozen (Walt Disney Animation Studios) - Utilized story reels and worked closely with directors in order to create dynamic 3d animatics with compositions aimed to
convey mood and emotion. Used lighting and depth of field to direct the eye
and create atmosphere within each sequence. Effectively met all deadlines and collaborated with colleagues to make sure
shots played smoothly together.
The Bad Guys, Boss Baby Family Business, Puss in Boots The Last Wish (Dreamworks) -
Planned and executed high-fidelity layout animation for 7 features at Dreamworks, spanning a variety of styles and sensibilities.
Expanded storyboards into dynamic 3D video animatics.
Whale Song (personal project) - I designed and painted all of the assets in photoshop, and animated them in after effects. This project was created as a looping video meditation, that was strictly for fun, but served as a nice way to revisit some styles that aren't generally used in the day-to-day production setting.
Peaceful Groupies 3D (Peacevoid) - This project was a commission for the Peaceful Groupies NFT community as a proof of concept of what the projects characters could look like in a 3D setting. The original 2D designs were painted by Peacevoid creator @yonfrula
Nanomalz (2Cimple) - These renderings were created for the Nano project, to be awarded in a gamified experience to users in a mobile app experience for completing bite-sized sustainability activations. I was responsible for designing, modeling, and rendering over 100 digital 3D assets, with over 10,000 randomized character combinations which were part of a generative collection that was aimed to attach carbon offset credits to the blockchain. This project ultimately never saw the light of day, but I was still very proud of the breadth of work that I was able to accomplish as a one-man team on the 3D side.
