I feel like the formulas are why we’re getting so many 80s set horrors, like we’re stuck in that decade. I think personally I’m most afraid of there being no future for mine and younger generations, so maybe a movie around that. Also I think if we are getting rid of tropes, characters that are intelligent and believably real still getting killed would be more terrifying than the stereotypical walks towards the scary noise and gets killed
