      Barbell curls happen in a squat rack for a variety of reasons. The first being it is wheel chair accessible. Those in wheel chairs can safely and freely enter and exit as well as have the bar height set in the best position for them. Another reason is for heavy eccentric loading. The barbell van be unracked from a height where the elbow joint angle is at 90 degrees or less and safety bars are set a level where the barbell will reach when elbows are full straighten. This set up will provide you with the opportunity to safely enter and exit heavy curls and (most importantly) give you spot to lower the bar to where it can be unloaded and moved back to starting position without all the weight.

    IS there any benefit in doing this with toes pointed out at angle?

    • @whitelionstrong_gym
      @whitelionstrong_gym Місяць тому

      Thank you for watching! When we point the toes out we place the ankle in a position where we are slightly turned out. this in turn will prioritize different parts of the calves. Turning out will target the inner part of the calves. While turning in will favour the outer part of the calves more.
