It is so nice to see a knitting posting from you...I love to knit...my grandgirls keep the requests coming...I knitted a Norwegian design sweater for my husband over 50 years ago and my oldest grandgirl ask to have it...thank you...best wishes ❤
Lovely to have appreciative family to knit for. If we look after our wool handknits they last for generations!
Cairine...this is a sweet posting...your stitching is very beautiful...best wishes ❤
@@lorettahenderson8979 thank you for a lovely comment.
Thank you for your delightful posting...Blackbird Designs are the best...sorry to hear about your gardening injury...I find that Clover wooden knitting needles are the best for my injured hands...best wishes ❤
Fortunately my finger is healed & I am knitting again. Look out for a Shetland lace stole next 😊
Hello! I am Paola from Lake Maggiore Italy I am here because of Nerissa. I like your flosstube and I am also stitching Christmas Garden on a bright fabric, but.with two over two! I prefer my stitches to be a bit thick. I also like your knitting projects. Thank you for sharing your crafty things with us. I understand you're from Scotland! I have been in Applecross some years ago and I loved that area. I am gonna be back at the end of the month with my daughter. I think I will need some wool clothing, it seems quite cold over there... Happy Stitching!
@@betsabeabarleycorn so glad you enjoy my channel, Paola. It is 10 degrees and wet here at present. Warm wishes to you & your daughter for your visit to beautiful Applecross. Thanks for commenting 😊
Hello, I'm new here, first floss tube of you I've watched, I loved it and subscribed. Also a big fan of BBD. Greetings from Marion, the Netherlands.
@@marionvandesande6382 hello Marion, so glad you enjoyed my contribution. Happy stitching 💖
Lovely to see you again Cairine....your stitching is beautiful as always!
@@sharonbruce6639 always lovely compliments Sharon 💖
Lovely …… each of your pieces 🌹 love the changes , especially in All joys for thine… I had the same thoughts. I can’t believe it got so cold for you so sooon… I’m in the south, near the ocean, and waiting for the humidity & heat to fade …..I moved here 6months ago to be near my 2 Sons, Trevor & Tristan, both grown young men, I was toooo far away, up north in Ohio. Love your watercolors. & the pieces you put to patterns, I found your Etsy shop.🌟 I really enjoyed today… your soothing voice & inspirations are very calming.🌹 Your sweater is beautiful. Until next time… Blessings ☀️🌹
@@sharonannc.3079 delighted you have enjoyed my flosstube episode. Blessings to you too.
Love the changes you made to “All Joy Be Thine.” & wanted to tell you your sweater is beautiful. How long did it take to knit it? Thanks for sharing your talents with me.
@@deborahthornhill6971 so glad you are enjoying my contributions! I began the ‘Sugar Plum Cardigan’ on 3rd December 2022 and completed it on 18th February 2023. I couldn’t tell you the number of hours of knitting it actually took, Christmas and New Year and family visits certainly intervened. I continue to design my own handknits but am somewhat slowed by a damaged index finger at present. If you would like to see more about my handknits they are scattered throughout previous episodes. My handknits are very much admired but I haven’t yet discovered how to write efficient patterns. Perhaps I should work on this as it would be lovely to share them. 💖
wonderful progress on your blackbird designs. happy stitching, Nerissa
Thank you so much!
I like your tube but can you lower your camera? It does not show the bottom of your items
I haven’t watched your videos before. I was really hoping to see all the patterns in Ooh La La. Would it be possible to lower the camera just a bit so the bottom of the patterns and your projects are visible?
Your work is lovely. Thank you for sharing!
Hi from the nauld in North Lanarkshire. I am an Ayrshire lass born and bred. I think I must have missed your name. Beautiful finish. Beautiful samplers and stitching. I am stitching oan Birds top A Bush oot o the booklet Stitches In Red Designs by Brenda Keyes for Sampler September. I have a box o Blackbird booklets still to stitch. Together we count.
Happy stitching!
i’m jealous of your fire place ;) lovely work
@@theclosetquilterelliemiria198 It is already 10 degrees celsius here, so I’m just about to stock up on logs again as the days grow colder 🥶 That’s about 48 fahrenheit.
Thank you for sharing all the blackbird I have not seen some of projects in some of those books, I wanted to start Christmas Garden tomorrow for my bday but did not get the threads in time.
@@lauraleehawes5266 wishing you a happy birthday & hope you managed to obtain the threads 🎈😊
@@firesidefairytale Thank you! thinking of doing it in DNC, looked online to find a finish of it that way and it is pretty close to looking the same as overdyed, Instead today I started Faith by Summer House stitche workes.
Loved seeing all your Blackbird stitching and plans; I have many of the same. Also spent the summer gardening and just picking up my knitting again too; hope your finger(s) cooperate for you. Thanks for the grammatical correction on All Joys for Thine; I appreciate proper grammar and will be changing mine too.
Your voice is only a whisper even on my Bose speaker., turned on High. 😢
Loved your flosstube. Thank you
Awesome flosstube. Love all the BBD thanks for sharing
UA-cam suggested your channel and I’m so happy it did. I love Blackbird Designs and it was lovely to see what you are working on (as well as your other patterns). Happy Stitching!
@@ericaber9083 so glad you enjoyed the episode. Happy stitching too!
Lovely stitching. I think the Blackbird samplers are often so much prettier than their picture I’m the cover.
@@joanna9620 I agree. It is amazing how thread brings pictures to life in embroidery.

@@sharonannc.3079 thank you so much for your warm response 💖
Where do u get your templates?
I used clover plastic ones for the shape and then cut out the card myself. However I think you can buy ready cut cards on Amazon. Hope this helps.
Clover Patchwork templates on Amazon. I pencilled the outline on the interfacing.
That is awesome. I like to view the different options to choose from. I currently wanting to venture out and try it soon.
I encourage you to have a go 😊
GENIUS!!! I didn't allow myself enough of a seam allowance and thought I was unable to use my pieces. You've been so helpful. Thank you for sharing.
So glad this is helpful.
I love your fabrics
Great idea
A great many are watching this which makes me happy as this method really does work and saves faffing around with bits of paper, although it probably upsets those who prefer to be traditional.
Your attention to detail is very soothing. You make me want to do everything slower with more intention. We do not take time to appreciate the small things nowadays,.
Your comment reminds me of Davies’ poem ‘Leisure’. So glad the episode has given you something special.
Lovely to find your channel today. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for including what you did on Margaret Tarrant. Greetings from Sydney where we are ever so slowly moving toward the autumn. I look out for every hint of the shift in seasons.❤🧚🧚♂🧚♀💐
So glad you are enjoying my videos. There is plenty more to come!
This is the first time I heard of the mentioned artists at the beginning of the video and wow they are definitely inspiring! I’m thinking of getting some of the illustrated books now!And I really like your art process, seems really soothing ❤
It is so exciting when we discover artists who are new to us. So glad you enjoyed the episode.
Lovely video today ❤ I love your colourwork. I'm working on mittens with fawns on them designed by Mona Zillah ( bunnymuff designs) I have a small channel as well drop by if you like
I love your pink cardigan! And how interesting to think about looking at the grass to rest our eyes. Thank you for the story of the artists and of your teacher
So glad you have enjoyed this episode.
Hello dear, i absolutely agree - buttons make or break a garment, one must never underestimate what buttons do to the overall appearance of a piece. Wonderful colourwork, by the way!
Hello and so glad you agree and enjoyed the episode!

I’m just painting in and drawing those puke flower petals with those leaves and flowers was a wonderful piece of art. Thank you so much for sharing.
My gosh I need to get one of those presses. These leaves turned out so beautiful and so delicate I couldn’t believe it in the flower was beautiful. Also thanks so much for sharing what you were able to accomplish.
Hi dear friend another wonderful video you put together today I love the beautiful countryside all around you and that beautiful river under the bridge. Everything just looks so beautiful and all the fall colors.

Beautiful crochet project ❄️
Many thanks, although it is actually knitting. I can crochet lace too, but probably prefer to knit. Very different outcomes. 😊
