I love it when that happens live! I mean, I love immaculate music as much as the next guy, but there's something to be said for a song being presented in a relate-able way, with the human quality of flaws.

I stumbled upon this after the Dennen/Folds/Mayer show and was watching Buddy guy when john mayer came out it was a sick bonus and it topped the entire john mayer show

You guys obviously weren't there. He kind of shy'ed his way into this. Buddy did most of the solos and kept urging Mayer to solo more. You should've seen the grin on his face when he did, it was kind of like a passing the torch thing. I was lucky enough to catch this AFTER the Dennen/Folds/Mayer show. Best decision of my life so far.

I've seen him twice now. Both times on Summerfest grounds. This performance in particular blew my mind. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that about less than half the audience witnessed his entire set. Oh well. I thought Brett Dennen was fantastic too.
