Lyrics:
They told me I couldn't hold you
They told me I couldn't stay
So how was I to continue
About my life each day
I thought I'd be all you needed
I thought that I could provide
But now I'm feeling defeated
I just want you here by my side
Cause you are mine, you are mine
I'm the one who gave you life
So I will sing this song for you
Feel this love I give to you
The guitar will slowly rock you
And my voice will sing you to sleep
So please just rest your head, dear
Oh please don't make a peep
One day I will hold you
One day I'll watch you play
But until then let's just rest, dear
And dream about that day
- Sammi Graham

Sehr schön! Ich führe das auch gern auf, in Sopran und Tenorbesetung, aber wir tauschten Stimmen, sodass nun Tenor die erste Stimme singt, und Sopran die zweiten. Jeder singt natürlich in seiner Lage!

A former student directed me to this video as I am a mom of two micropreemies who spent a significant amount of time in the NICU (my son was in for four months and my daughter nearly seven months). I admire and appreciate the music therapists who work with the little ones, and your lullaby was beautiful and would be very beneficial to parents of children I'm the NICU. One song I often find myself singing to my kids is "How He Loves" by the David Crowder Band--it's a beautiful reminder of how loved we truly are. Thank you for sharing your time and talents -- I hope you are challenged and that you grow throughout this series.

Samantha Graham, you brought tears to my eyes! Beautiful song, what a gift for a mother to be able to feel connected with her baby! You have given yourself a gift to have found your calling!!My song that I would love to hear and I think could apply to Music Therapy is "I hope you dance" by Lee Ann Womack. Much love to you!!

Sammi! You are amazing, and I'm so so so proud of you. Your song is absolutely beautiful!!!! I have a request - Carole King "Way Over Yonder". The song reminds me that everything will be ok.

Thats a lovely first song! Sounds like a long playing album of tunes this style for NICU babies needs to be a thing, if its not already. I want to share a story with you about when I did some impromptu music therapy. I went to visit your grandad when he was in hospice, I brought my fiddle. Word got around the facility and I ended up spending several hours playing for other patients as well. One young man was very close to death, unresponsive. his family members were stressed watching the struggle of the body letting go. I played some low soothing things, you could visibly see his body relax. It changed the energy in the room, it brought the anxiety level for the family down too. I've always thought this song written by my friend Julie Lee would be a good tune for a time like that. ua-cam.com/video/SCgTrSMK1f8/v-deo.html

Thank you so much! My dad has actually told me that story. That is so wonderful that you were able to see the power of music and to facilitate that for those people.

"Holy Spirit" by Francesca Batistelli and "Oceans" by Hillsong United are popular among people who listen to contemporary christian😊
