1910s-1920s music, played on a 1913 victor VV-IV
Hear the sounds that were a staple throughout the early 20th century, with songs from the American quartet, Paul Whiteman, and John McCormack.
The record player:
The victor VV-IV was released in spring of 1911 by the victor talking machine company, it sported the lowest price tag of any victor, at the price of $15 (or $400 today). The victor I own was made sometime in early 1913, and it has the second design rendition, with 5 wooden slats.
All songs have been copyrighted more than 100 years ago, and are therefore public domain.

1890s JH Bunnell telegraph assembly and use
Переглядів 514 місяці тому
I purchased this JH Bunnell telegraph receiver in order to restore it, and after restoring it (off camera) I used some old telegraph wire to reassemble it for display purposes. The telegraph: this telegraph was manufactured by JH Bunnell and company sometime in the 1890s, the design originally had a telegraph key (for sending messages) but that was missing. I will post if I find the key.

Cool vid. Do you know what the voltage would have been when this was used?

This is not real electrical wiring, please don’t use this video to wire anything that is not for display. Also sorry for the weird text, it was saying how the telegraph uses electrical signals to turn the battery into a magnet, henceforth causing the taps.
