This Nebraska team was beaten in every way a team could be beaten and it includes off the field. Nebraska looked completely unprepared and unable to adjust to this Miami team. The I Option should not have been the offense for this game. The double wing, trips, twins and shotgun based midline option with traps, counter, etc would have been better. Widen the splits and create space. This also can shorten a ball game. Defensively, the 4-3 was all wrong to use against this team. A defense like the Giants vs Bills Super Bowl would have been appropriate so the receivers dont run wild. Sure, a lot of ground yards will be given up. But, you stand a better chance of stopping a ball carrier in front of you than a receiver with a ball downfield. Nebraska likely would have still lost. But, the showing would gave been more respectable
