@@Enshaqlopedia some categories benefit from playing on the Japanese versions because the Corneria Alternate Boss is about 3 seconds faster on this version

I'm reducing lag. The Nintendo 64 not being a perfect console, certains parts of the game have too much going on on the screen at the same time. Looking away inside the cockpit helps reducing it

Bien pensé, mais malheureusement, ça ne fonctionne pas. Il y a bel et bien un moyen de tirer les deux en même temps, mais ça fait la moitié du dommage de double laser et donc, tu vas quand même devoir les détruire en deux cycles. C'est plus rapide de les faire un après l'autre

That's a good way to describe Star Fox 64 speedrunning.....on a surface level. I enjoy doing these, but if you don't, that's totally fine. Have a good day!

@@MorKsQC i mean, I enjoy speed runs, but star fox is a franchise where the speed run is only entertaining on the bosses. And I love sf64 because I love getting high scores and enjoying the levels/combat, but for speed runs thats not efficient.

@@rmat9023 there are high score centered categories in Star Fox 64 too like Maximum hits (2K), but I haven't reached that point yet in my SF64 speedrunning journey. As you might have seen, I speedrun multiple games. I understand if you don't like this one, maybe you'll like other ones I have like Diddy Kong Racing, Jedi Knight, etc. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to give your opinion on my run. I appreciate it!

Taking a different route is faster, but if it's in the way, I'll still try to avoid it, as it could generate a tiny bit of lag

Thank you! I had a 22m52s right before this run that had, I think, the 2nd best Bolse ever on the Any% leaderboards, but I dropped the ball on Golemech. If I had both Bolse and Golemech, I was looking for 22m3Xs

@@HeyaItsSoup I'm unsure yet.....WR will require me to learn 1-loop Katina (which is even harder than my current strat) and then, learn and practice every single lag reduction minuscule things here and there. Idk yet

There's no noob question 🙂 Short answer is that it saves time, but the long answer is because it makes the missile appear faster and also, when your teammates are fainted, they won't be there on the next level (which happens to be Bolse, a level where it's better and faster to play without teammates) and then, we gain all 3 teammates for Venom, which helps a lot keeping things in order before GoleMech

Oh no it's not hehe, I'm far from it (about a minute and a half). Most of the optimization remaining is in lag reduction, Bolse strategy and Golemech aiming. We'll get there, bit by bit
