looking good buddy. its almost time!!
Just getting ready! 😂got a new side scan graph to add to the arsenal! Coming soon!
@@KillerBeeOutdoors oh man your knowledge and is going to skyrocket with that thing. There is no other tool that comes close to helping you understand exactly what fish are doing and how they relate to structure
@@ElGatoAzulTV super excited man! Maybe this will be a banner season!
The launch intro was legit! That was some sporty surf to get through.
@@tyrux7708 Thanks Brent! You definitely have to commit!🤣
good cats bud
@@mattfox2867 slow trip but I had to try🤣last two years I have gotten big fish on the full moon in Aug! Missed some big takedowns and proally my chance at three years in a row🤣
Looks like fun to me
@@tims6104 always Tim!
Awesome videos ! Most people think that is easy going true the surf but it is extremely hard when you have the surf angry! Those waves where easy 4ft or more the gopro never make justice to the real height of the surf, you push that hobie to the max bro! in that weather i would never dare going in a kayak like that one, I have a jackson coosa and i have turltle it going out and in so many times🤣, on one occasion the surf was perfect in the way out but boy it was 5ft in the way in and give me the beating of my life plus lost all my gear to the fishfinder and pedal drive😭😂 , so i bought a viking profish really night and day difference to cut true the surf not as comfortable but really good for the surf, i have paddle the jackson kraken elite really good also but heavy , i have to try the Stealth look like is a good option too, congrats on your trip ! yall really hard core 10 days is a long time for camping at the beach!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment man! Dan can sure make that Stealth move! He is a speed boat and I am more of a tugboat out there🤣He keeps trying to get me to try out that stealth but I am scared I will end up with another yak!😂I already have 3!!! I have lost a lot of gear out there over the years and I just chalk it up to the price of admission! I sure enjoy those flat smooth days a lot more the older I get! Think even when I get a boat I will always kayak fish! It’s just a different game all together that gets in your blood!!!!
Far be it from me sitting here watching your video vs you actually being in the kayak to give advice, but you don't drop your fins quicker in the bottom hull to help punch thru those waves quicker? I hate being in that 'washtub' section of the breakers, so try to drop mine in as soon as possible.. lost too much gear to enjoy the foam (lol). - BTW, I always enjoy your videos - keep up the great work!
I hear ya man!😆got telephone poled once before and have been gunshy to risk my fins ever since. My dang rudder deployed during that launch and almost got me slammed. You can see me starting to turn sideways in the surf when it happened🤣thanks for watching and commenting! I love hearing from everyone ! It was a trip that I will never forget and ended with a bang💥
You didn't look like you were paddling hard enough - next time I expect to see some effort to clear the waves - lol
@@sarahandemmadooleygymnastics 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣it was a rough one out there! Dan flew by me in that Stealth!
Awesome footage of the launch! No wonder we got wrecked on the way at in lol
That was one of the more memorable days from the trip, big waves and big fish. Made me miss Hawaii for sure

All your drag components probably need to see a therapist after that trip. MONSTER kingfish!
@@tyrux7708 it was an epic trip Brent! Planning to do it again next year and you should come
Big kings are so much fun. Its always fun when the bail is open and 1 grabs it and you can't get the bail closed.
@@mattfox2867 I had just put that mullet in the water🤣didnt even get the line very far from the kayak! I have never seen anything like it! They destroy those things and they all seem to be hammers! Did you see what they did to the live target mullet in the video from this series!? I want to get some more of those live target mullet and modify the hook to a stinger rig when mullet are tuff for next year! $15 dollars is worth it🤣
@@KillerBeeOutdoors We got into kings one year out there on ribbon fish and the ribbon wouldnt even be out of sight and the reel would start screeming. It was crazy fun.
@@mattfox2867never gets old man😂 can’t wait to get my boat next year to see what else the gulf has to offer but honestly these big kings will never get old from a yak!
You got some monsters on those mullet!
@@FlyingFish_TV you were absolutely right about them! The monsters just couldn’t resist!
That opening shot with that king skying is savage! You’re done editing and I haven’t even got any of the footage off the sd cards yet
@@FlyingFish_TV I cant wait to see your footage man! What a trip buddy!!!
You know it’s a good trip when you caught so many of the target fish that you’re wondering how to catch more bait.
@@FlyingFish_TV some huge kings on the mullet! Money bait! Thanks for turning me onto em Dan!
I’ve been a follower since your reports on TKF! You’re a reel guy! I have asked you if I could tag along many years ago but timing did not work out for me, but you still said yes! Now I moved to Georgia but still watch your vids! Hoping to make a PINS trip next year! Continue to be blessed!

that was a monster king
Biggest I have caught in awhile! I believe that these kings come in close in the late summer to feed on mullet. Just an observation but man it’s🔥down there close inshore in late summer!
Blacktip make even flatheads and blue cats seem weak in comparison huh?
@@nickleback3695 they are sporty! I caught a gator gar that was close to the 8ft mark on this rod as well! Convinced these rods will handle any blue or flathead handily! Thanks for watching!

What size LL is that and What LBS braid ????
The rod is a 7’6 heavy with a 6000 Penn fierce. The braid is 80lb and has a flouro top shot in 60 lb. 100lb wire if I remember correctly
Awesome vid! So, when ya'll keep a larger one, how / where do you store it? How far out from shore are you and what part of the coast? Padre/Corpus? That sure ain't Galveston!
@@TexasBarnRats we store them in specially designed fish bags with ice. That’s Padre Island National Seashore. Usually less than 2 miles offshore.
