Physical chemistry dies down over the years no matter who you are with. If you don’t also have friendship and respect, it won’t last. Blake has built Gwen a home and chapel on the ranch, bought a plane so he can be with her as much as possible, treats her sons like his own, makes music for and with her, treats her with respect, talks in interviews about what a good person she is, attends church with her. That all shows a deep level of commitment and respect that was lacking before on both sides.

He played house with the mother of his child for a short while after his fiancée left him. Married Miranda after 2.5 months of knowing her. Moved from NYC to Texas, away from his child.
