Extended spindle knuckles .5 in - .75 in so that 255-30-24 tires can be installed for a safer ride or long road trips.

Thank you! Ive been struggling with this. Glad I found this video!
Dear sir small dout sir single part plat platen not idia sir assembly part please
Can 275 25 24 fit on the rear with know problem
They rub the inner fender cover. But I did it anyway and you may have to get the adjustable cambers for the rear.
Thanks! Great pace and video!
Thank u sir!!!! I appreciate your time
Nice
Hello did u use power tools to take off the spindle and if not do u remember what tools u used and size??
I didn't use a power tool, just cornbread strength. I used a bolt breaker bar, but I can not remember the size socket. There are tips and tricks that you should be able to find on UA-cam or somewhere on the net to help with breaking axle nuts. Good luck!
thanks a lot dude :)
thank you!!!!
Why didn't you just put the right size tire instead of going through all that nonsense.
Cause I wanted to be different.
@@meelhouse7924 Don't let the world trick you to believe being different is always the right thing.
@@kidsstudynow6901 don't let the world make u feel like being the same is the right thing either.
@@meelhouse7924 I agree
or just click and drag over all the parts you want and save time
I haven't tried that, but I will. Thanks
you save my life!!! thank you!
What size tires you got on the back
275/25/24 but I'm going to change them to 275/30/24 next round and add 5/16" spacer.
@meelhouse7924 can them spacer be added to the front with out cutting the spindle to put the bigger tires on there
@derricas256 I don't think so. The center point of the hub and knuckle is what restricts the height required for the bigger tire.
I saw this vidoe long ago ...just here to remindmyself whatsup 😂❤😂😂
I have 245/30/24 will the tires go straight on the s550
I'm not sure.
Thanks. You are life saver.
Who did your spindle extension
It's in the description.
Thanks bro !
I just got a 2015 s550. My 24s will be delivered in a week but I didn't get tires yet. 255/25/24 front & 275/23/24 back is what the benz owners are recommending with no rubbing or mods. What do you honestly suggest
If its only a weekend driven car, go with their recommendations. But if you drive fast or like to drive the car out of town (like myself), you will need taller tires with the mods. Honestly, I would suggest 22's with 30 series tires. It's a very heavy and fast car so portholes and really bad bumps are your nemesis. Good luck.
@terryford7585 how did your 550 ride with the 25s??
Im using SW 2022 and recently needed to import a Step file with 100's of Solid Bodies and Surface Bodies. I needed this to then model my new assembly around it and this new assy was flexible with moving parts. SW now gives you two ways to import step files, traditional and 3D Connect. I tried both ways in order to try and use the imported bodies with my new assy but got rather confused in the process. I needed to modify some of the bodies from the step file but it seemed that Featureworks wouldn't work. It was greyed out sometimes or in other situations it said I had overlapping solid bodies and wouldn't work. If I suppressed bodies Featureworks says You have suppressed components and thus does not work.I assume there are many times you might need to import a step file made with many parts, put them in a SW assy and if necessary modify the part using SW features that have been created with Featureworks. I can't find a demo of this workflow anywhere. Am I missing something????
Did you ever find a solution to your problem?
@@meelhouse7924 Its difficult. The original part can be imported but it had so many bodies it became resource hungry and so wasn't really useable. As I recall I used the STEP part I imported as a sudo template and its overall dimensions to remodel the part I needed in a much simpler form. Thus I had a SW Part which I could use in my Assy and I just left the original imported file there for future ref but suppressed it.
YOU SAVE MY LIFE, THANK U SO MUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH
Did you have to lift the car to fit 24s?
Nope
@@meelhouse7924 I have a 2008 cls 550. Does that make any difference?
@@timothyjohnson8894 I'm not sure. I've never worked on a cls 550.
I got a 2015 s class 550 with 22s on it to put 24s will i have 2 do any custom work ?
Naw, u can go with 255-25-24 on the front and 275-23-24 on the back with no mods. I just couldn't drive on those rubber bands. I like driving too much.
U can go 275 25 24 all the way around bro no kids no nothing I gotta 2018 s560 that’s my set up no issues
@darrenbriscoe2019 mind's rub on my 2014 s550 with the 275 25 24 in the front
That piece that you welded that's kind of dangerous not being a hater I got 22s on mine it looks kind of dangerous be careful there was no other way you could have went about that
Nope, I check it every 6 months to ensure it's structural sound. Gotta remember, there's multiple points of contact that helps with the load on both wheels. Not saying it won't break but pretty confident that it shouldn't. Lol
@@meelhouse7924 lol ok it looks perfect tho the car🔥
I need a shot of Tequila. This video drain my soul a little. Still gave thumbs up I think. Ahh I must lay down now😣
Its tough to same the step assembly as a part if it’s too large.
hi i am not getting that option
Same to me, do u hv any option?
yea same for me. After some trys. U need to open other part file that u saved before as a part file . and then isolate the part than click on the body part on the list and insert in a new part.
@@dr.dosage635 let's see
Sir, is there a tutorial on how to draw a unit like the one in the video?
No!
How’s the car on turning and u-turns on the s550 I want to know because not sure if I want 24”
Tires rub the fender inner walls but I have the original turn radius. Nothing different except u have to make sure to turned the life car button on when you get off the interstate. Also, you might wanna consider going with 245/30/24's.
Lift*
saved my Life.. thank you bro..
Very helpful. Thank you!
You're a life saver!
Plzzzzz tell me how i fit 24s or 26s on my o5 benz c 240 plzzz help fplks
🤣🤣🤣🤣 u don’t u jus don’t do that gang🤣
22s are a better fit and a lot less headache...
Good vid brother i’m ready to buy a 2011 s550 will I need spacers or anything for the 22” or 24” rims? I needed spacers for my 2005 s500. thanks also In would go with 35 also 25 is to thin that car is 4400 pounds
U would not need spacers for the 22" but definitely for the 24" on that year model. Unless u go with a thin thin tire.
How do u put 24s on the benz

bro i ride on 275/25/24, it rides good for me on my ls460. you said you like to speed would it be better to go factory or 22 inch if you want smooth ride and speed?
Prolly so, but I like the look and it rides great with the new set-up. 255-30-24 in front and 275-23-24 in the back.
Meelhouse 79 i feel you brother you want the look and speed💪🏿 your benz body style is the best to me! Great video Mr. Meelhouse.
Can you give a Good SIDE VIEW of it...Appreciate it man
I'll try
Im confused i have a 2015 on forgys wit no rubb or problems
What size tires? Those rubber bands r a horrible ride. I drive 85+ mph..
Thanks man...

And all the rest of the people we've lost this year. Shit hurts... Please vote...
Bro why did you do that and you didn’t have to for 24s nothing is needed
Couldn't ride on those 255-25-24's on my front. I drive to fast and I actually broke the steel belt in one of the tires.
@@meelhouse7924 well yea that’ll do it I got them on mine but I be cruising
Tylek Douglas I have a 2007 s550. So no cutting shaving or welding needs to be done to put 24s on. What he did looks unsafe and extra. Let me know

Are you able to take off the 24s in put your factory tires back on .. and did you cut anything....
