As a Maypul player and huge Elpe fan it hurts to see him win with that ending, but holy shit what a set. Both players played out of their minds for 8 straight games, not a single one felt like it couldn't have gone the other way. Elpe is my GOAT but Backpack is crazy on the sticks, hopefully this is the start of a turnaround of the Elpe v. Backpack record but even if it isn't I'm loving being spoiled by some fantastic Rivals.

The commentators saying "What does Lily even do besides give free i-frames?" just for elpe to end the game with a Lily kill was perfect.

IIRC, Clarien is from the future and wants to kill present-day Loxodont because he kills Zetter (Clarien's grand-uncle) amd ursurps the throne. He then becomes a ruthless dictator. She's here to stop him.

I haven't watched any tournaments before, even of Strive. ML is probably the one game I'd watch a tournament for just because it's always so fun to watch and it doesn't make me feel like I have a lot of work to do.
