I love this part of Puerto Rico. I don’t think many Americans from the mainland understand what a gorgeous gem of an island she is. The view of the Caribbean Sea that is presented to us as we drive down from the mountain is very inspiring and beautiful.

Such a nice drive! So many nice looking homes. It would be a pleasure to live up in these mountains to have a nice cool breeze cooling you off and blowing into all of the windows in your home. Is this a part of the Ruta Panorámica / Cordillera? I have only been on a short section in the western part of the island. I am subscribed and will look for more of your videos. Many thanks!

Driving around PR and visiting the places where my mother is from (Cidra) and Father - Ponce and the rest of the family - kids were all born in Cayey is my my bucket list. I've been to PR a number of times visiting but never did visit these two towns (Ponce and Cidra)..Visited my Aunt and Uncle in Cayey(They both have now passed), but I believe my cousin is still in the same house in Cayey.....Not too far from the Plaza....Time is getting too short since I'm retired...Thanks for the video and reminder...

The report of the incident with the Diego Velazquez avenue electricity substation was written by Jorge Martin who interviewed witnesses.

When I come to Carraizo in 2025 if you are free for a couple of days see if you can join me in visiting Diego Velazquez Avenue to see if we can find still living witnesses to that historic event! Of course the event happened over 30 years ago and most of the eyewitnesses have died but. .some of them could still be alive and still living in Diego Velazquez Avenue. The vast majority of Puerto Ricans living there now HAVENT GOT A CLUE about what happened on the night of 17 March 1991😂😂. I am going to Diego Velazquez Avenue to tell them! Thank you for your patience Land of Enchantment.

Continuing report of incident in Carraizo. ." Rafael Benitez, a psychologist we know personally, described the scene as follows: ' When I looked out of the rear window, because everthing was as if in daylight and the electrical power was gone, I saw this thing with three very bright light sources underneath its center. I also saw something like a wall of electrical rays going upward, like thousans of minute electrical capillaries - thin electrical discharges going up - and you could hear a "chh, chh, chh" sound, rather like when you hear static electricity. The wall of electricity was wider at its base and as it went up to that thing in the air it became thinner. Surrounding the object was something like a cloud". Genaro Bigas, another neighbor who lives in the Diego Velazquez Avenue, explained that when he went to his balcony to see what was happening, he saw an object extending over his roof. It was like ' like a hige semicircle of about 180 degrees standing there in the air over our houses. At the moment I saw it, it was rather dark on the underside but was flashing bright orange lights from its sides all around it. That was the source of the light which was illuminating everything here. There was something solid up there because you could see some orange lights on its rim, and then above it you could see the clouds and sky, but from the rim inwards you could see a solid dark surface. Then, after that, some very bright white lights appeared on its underside" The report continues with several other eyewitness accounts, some from witnesses miles away. Okay Land of Enchantment, now you have finally found out why I believe Diego Velazquez Avenue, Carraizo, is the most special place on earth😂.

Hi Land of Enchantment. Here are parts of the report of the incident that happened to the electricity substation in Diego Velazquez Avenue, Carraizo, on the night of 17 March 1991: " It was the night of 17 March. Everything was quiet and normal in the Carraizo sector of the town of Trujillo Alto. But just after midnight there was a sudden explosion of lights, colors and a strange loud sound. For many miles around, the darkness of night became illuminated with a light of incredible proportions. At a distance it could be seen that the sky had acquired an intense turquoise - bluish color., and at the same time the electrical power failed in several sectors miles away. Everthing was illuminated with a very bright greenish light that suddenly turned to orange light. .a bright white ray could be seen projecting itself up into the sky, moving from left to righr and vice versa in a uniform fanlike motion. This display was seen by thousands of witnesses for miles around Trujillo Alto. Those nearer to the area, and those in high areas in the sectors of Rio Piedras, Carolina and Trujillo Alto, however, saw something even more spectacular. Directly over an electrical power substation , based just behind the El Conquistador urban development, in Carraizo sector, hovered an immense circular ufo, motionless in midair and radiating a great and intense light. Many residents of El Conquistador could see how the substation's electrical energy was being attracted by the strange craft above it. Something like an energumy 'curtain' could be seen around the substation, and in that curtain it was possible to see the electrical energy flowing into the undersude of the huge object". Okay Land of Enchantment - if That didnt grab your attention then I dont know what will😂😂. Please bear with me. I was station at Roosey Roads from 63 to 65. Rosy was located about one hour away in Ceiba, PR. We would come into Old San Juan every three months or so. A lot of fun times in Old San Juan !!!!!!

I was stationed at Roosey from 84 to 86. Part of Weapons Dept. It was an amazing duty station. White sands. Crystal blue waters and just an amazing vibe to the island. Thanks for the memories.
