If a person knows how to break a very long sentence, then he is a master of English.. every word in English makes sense. They play an important role in the language.
That's a wonderful and very long sentence. Your head noun is increase and others are just proportional phrases that describe the word increase. And might cause is your main verb in that sentence.. those five words at the end of the sentence play the role of a direct object.
