the machine has a lot of overspray so be careful. learning how to spray right is also a trick. Prep work is considerable. It is ok for outside use but inside it can make a bigger mess and you need to cover everything to get this right. very hard to do.
Then turn the spray speed down...or learn how to actually use it.
What's the color name of that paint?
I have a few Graco sprayers. This pro x9 I bought a few years ago and used it to prime a total of 85 gallons of primer and it started leaking from the pump housing, #1.) the fluid outlet to hose adapter stripped, it leaked there tightened it no problem but threads are slightly robbed, and now it's leaking from a hairline crack it seems right at the fluid outlet to hose area on the housing. I need to paint something and I am screwed if this thing completely fails. It's never been exposed to elements and always stored with pump armor.
do not buy this product im telling you from experience. im a painter and have gone through 4 of these through the home depot 3 yr free replacement plan. the same thing happens to all of them they just lose the ability to build pressure after about 8 times of using it no matter what you do. 2 thumbs down
Hi Jerry - I'm truly sorry to hear of your experiences with our ProX9. We don't usually hear or see the issues you're describing, when our ProX9 is used within the recommended 500 gallons/year. Since I wouldn't know how many gallons you sprayed each of the 8 times you mentioned - you'll have to forgive me, but I do have a few questions I hope you can answer. How many gallons of paint were you spraying per day? month? year? What type of product/material did you spray? Were you outdoors? Indoors? How did you clean your sprayer? Did you store it any specific way? Because the ProX9 can be repaired - did Home Depot ever repair a unit for you? If you feel your issues should be addressed directly, please contact our Customer Service Dept: 800-690-2894 , explain the issues you've had, and ask to speak with the Graco Regional Sales Representative for your area - I'm in Southern CA, so you can ask for me, if you're in my state. +Jason Mendez me supongo que las lavas con agua, pero las guardas usando Pump Armor? Es un liquido azul que ayuda prevenir que alguna pintura endurezca dentro de la bomba, o que agua oxida el metal. Tambien, en que pais te encuentras? Si has usado pinturas con base de solvente, la ProX9 so seria la rociadora para ese producto.
