there are a ton of symptoms and consitions that can cause people to write abnormally. my little brother is pretty severely on the spectrum and he tends to write similar to that. it can be distracting yes, but you have to realize its something their brains are telling them to do subconsciously, they arent deciding to make noise or grip the pen/pencil with their whole fist.

Its Misophonia i have it. It causes a strong reaction to flee or get up set with sounds liek chewing, sniffling, dripping water, and in this case desk thumping. This exact type of thing used to happen to me all the time in school

Tbh. Theyre both in the wrong. Denim definitely should write a little quieter, but grey is being rude about how shes asking. 1 she's shaking the pen obnoxiously, 2 she's passive aggressively telling denim shes being a problem amd 3 she's not going to drop it even when the teacher asks her to quiet down. She couldve quietly said "Hey, do you mind writing a little softer. When you slam on the desk it's a little distracting." Yeah it's probably gonna stop the other girl's train of thought, but at least she was asking respectfully.

Grey shirt is the problem. Denim is doing her best. Maybe she has adhd, or asd. And if she does, that's none of your business. If you are the only one who it bothers, then tell your teacher and you can move seats away from her. That's how you can solve the problem only you are having without being a problem to anyone else.
