1939 The bust of Keir Hardie by Benno Schotz was unveiled in front of Cumnock Town Hall by his daughter Nan Hughes, then the Provost of Cumnock.

Morag was brought up in Avisyard farm and later farmed at Dornal. She shares childhood memories. She worked as a milk recorder in the 1960s and describes the work done using sulphuric acid! The audio is enhanced with photos from Morag's family and others.

Great piece of archive film showing a mix of Albions, Bedfords, Leyland,Austin’s etc owned by Houston Bros of Cumnock involved in General haulage in the early 60’s.
Hi there my name is John White born 1947 in Cumnock but moved away to join RAF in 1963 so remember the cold winters.
