I just flew with HZ-AK38 from JED - IAD 2 days ago, the seats were amazing but sadly the footrests have been removed, this is being done to all their economy class seats.

I flew this exact flight two years ago and I just came to see how it's doing now. It seems they haven't replaced the god awful interiors for this route, the IFE was broken on both flights and also dirty. Although it looks like they gave the 777 their new livery that just says "Saudia", mine had the old livery that said "Saudi Arabian" on it. The 777s they used for London-Riyadh and back are much better.

The only thing with Saudia I hate is the transit visa which is very confusing to get filed. Regardless of your nationality, lay over more than 12 hours needs transit visa. I flew with them twice from New York to Manila via Riyadh and Vice Versa.

Thanks for this flight report. I think Saudia is starting to get the recognition it deserves (from Skytrax). It was awarded as the Most Improved Airline of 2024. I’m looking forward to flying with them.

No offense, but Air India is a disgrace to indian society. Honestly with Tata taking over Air India, I don't see changes in international travel. People keep saying it takes time but I feel like it is going to be the same after 10 years like in this state. Especially with Boeing having problems. How is it possible german carriers can maintain a very old A330-300 or A340-300 in good condition? I feel indians aren't capable of giving respect to materials and therfore we can clearly see how poer sockets and co. are destroyed in a relatively young B787-8. It just feel bad honestly. I think indian firms like Air India have to change their mindset if they want to make an impact and not buying new fleets.
