Suspension Footbridge modeled in Autodesk structural bridge design

Suspension bridge
A suspension bridge is a type of bridge in which the deck is hung below suspension cables on vertical suspenders. The first modern examples of this type of bridge were built in the early 1800s
the suspension cables must be anchored at each end of the bridge, since any load applied to the bridge is transformed into tension in these main cables
In the family of bridge systems the cable supported bridges are distinguished by their ability to overcome large spans.At present, cable supported bridges are enabled for spans in the range from 200 m to 2000 m (and beyond), thus coveringapproximately 90 per cent of the present span range.
(1) the deck (or stiffening girder);(2) the cable system supporting the deck;(3) the pylons (or towers) supporting the cable system;(4) the anchor blocks (or anchor piers) supporting the cable system vertically and horizontally, or only vertically, at theextreme ends.
Footbridge
A footbridge (also a pedestrian bridge, pedestrian overpass, or pedestrian overcrossing) is a bridge designed solely for pedestrians.[1] While the primary meaning for a bridge is a structure which links "two points at a height above the ground", a footbridge can also be a lower structure, such as a boardwalk, that enables pedestrians to cross wet, fragile, or marshy land
For rural communities in the developing world, a footbridge may be a community's only access to medical clinics, schools, businesses and markets. Simple suspension bridge designs have been developed to be sustainable and easily constructed in such areas using only local materials and labor.
