Windshield chip repair (not perfect) Jeepy Ep 4

Not a perfect job of filling in the chip but it’s a more realistic outcome. My first time filling in a windshield chip so I definitely have room to improve. Thank you for watching!

Thank you for watching, This video is not as well edited and doesn’t follow as good of a timeline as my other videos. mainly due to the magnitude of this project, and how long the video was. I hope you enjoyed!

Leave any questions below!
I was just thinking about doing this on my XJ. What compressor did you use I found one online that looked like yours for about 180-200$
ah that bolt breaking off if memory serves me right that is a bracket on top of the block take it off then heat it up and pb blaster it and try regular vice grips or use a set of the old flat head vicegrips to spin it out with it still on the block is about all you can do without drilling it out and taping new threads. after the AC is running keep adding until the lowside is at ~30psi with the compressor constantly running at least is always a good stopping point if you don't know what you are doing and don't have a scale you should also replace the sacrificial dryer when you do ac work as it collects moisture to prevent the rest of the system from rusting out when its opened to atmosphere and when you install the compressor add the dye assume it will leak because it one day will and the only thing worse then charging a AC 2 times is paying to charge it 3 times (4 times if you vent a charge to atmosphere once accidentally)
Thank you for the advice! Yea I really didn’t know exactly what I was doing, definitely a learning curve to it and I had many people giving me a lot of different advice. I had some people tell me I didn’t have to add pag oil to the compressor cause it was in the Freon (as I had my hands full of Freon that had no additives). Thank you for watching my video!
@@Pino_Automotive well if its a modern compressor it likely was pre oiled if not you likely didn't do the correct oil charge procedure either which is install a oil charge in the low side of the compressor with the compressor clutch face down and turn it until it comes out the high side of the compressor hell some (well most) ac compressors have to much oil from the factory but at worst it will just lower the efficiency of the system slightly if you want to know how much oil should come in a AC system looking up the car name + engine + pag version can work also you used pag 100? its not the correct oil type but should be ok. all people start out knowing nothing about AC systems I own one of those fancy R134a recovery machines that work retired that "broke" and I fixed and work on AC systems day in and out this time of the year.
Nicely done ~
Nicely done ~
why not just clamp the fuel hoes before the pump instead of siphoning ten gallons of gas
smart i haved never thought of this when i did the pump on my ford lol
I was just gunna get rid of the gas to just make it lighter but I didn’t cause I had the big jack so I didn’t need to 🤙🤙
Very cool, can't wait for move videos ~
