Hi I'm Mike, I own a hurricane Dorian damaged home in Abaco, Bahamas, before I could start rebuilding Covid struck meaning I have spent 15 months in the UK waiting to get back on the island. The rebuild will take a few years and my vision is to rebuild the 3 luxury off-grid cottages occupying the site. Once complete I will offer holiday accommodation to groups up to 12 people. The 2.5 acre site is beautiful with a dock, small private beach, lush garden and nature trail.

Great video👌🏼 don’t suppose to Oi know the tube diameter do you? As looking to purchase but worry the tubes are too small. Cheers
In the settings on the mobile app, you can dial down the output wattage and reduce the power drain from the internals.
Hello Mike, I have the Delta 2 Max and I am very impressed with it so far. Are you still using the Delta pro? any issues?
Hi there, Yes its my primary means of power and its great when you are there to manage it. I did think it would break within a year of being in the harsh salty air climate of the bahamas but its nearly 2 years old and still going strong!!!!!
'promo sm'
I would have preferred including how you removed and replaced the impeller cup rather than watching you driving your dinghy through 60 percent of the video.
this is soc (state of charge) error. All deltas have it. Your (true) battery charge is different than that shown in the app.
Thank you, i will try a calibration next time i am there following eco flows instructions
Definitely need to calibrate at least once a year in my experience.
How do you calibrate it? Thanks.
@@jasoninoa The calibration sequence is discharge to 0%, once the unit shuts off at 0% plug the unit in and charge to 100%. Once the unit stops charging at 100% shut the unit off for 1 to 3 hours, there is no definitive time for this I have only been told 1 to 3 hours from Ecoflow support. Then turn back on and do this sequence again two more times. It takes up to three cycles of full discharge and recharge to recalibrate the system for the unit to know where 100% is and where 0% is. This saved my two units that were not lasting all day as they used to and now they are back like new.
Hi there, I will give this a go next month when i am back. cheers mike
Using DC to power any items that run for long periods, or indefinitely. I bought a truck that had a domestic fridge wired to run off AC. On my first few camping trips I was a slave to charging my Delta Max for several hours a day with 220w panels. Once I converted to DC for the fridge I can go 3-4 days before needing to charge. My take is to only use AC to power short term use so your inverter is not running 24/7.
hi there, thank you, i will try running a 12v inverter from it next time i am there and running the cameras and router from that, i will make a video.
What is the Chance of the Lithium Battery Accidentally Catching Fire? Can anyone kindly give their views.
Just randomly? Almost unheard of
Only the delta, delta max and wave 2 batteries are chemistry that is susceptible to fires everything else including the delta pro is the much safer lithium ion phosphate which is incredibly safe
I don’t leave any solar generator unattended while charging. If it’s inside I am going to be present. It’s just a rule I operate on.
Could you get by with only DC output turned on for the small loads when you are away?
hi there, i will try running a 12v inverter next time i am there and running them from that, i will make a video.
First and foremost, be ashamed of yourself. This was an absurd and pathetic display of this unit. I, too, have a Joolca Nomad system, BUT I actually know how to use my system. Please try and do better. The amount of time you spent "attempting" to adjust the regulator spoke volumes! You do NOT even know your system, and that's sincerely sad.....pathetically sad actually. You claim to know the system but you don't even know how to control heat and volumes on a temp sensitive day. You are NOT an expert or even experienced. I use mine and I can shower with a 5 gallon container, in the winter, because I actually understand the system. I hope you get more experience and upload a video worth entertaining.
Hello, this design doesn´t have a central keel, how stable is the navigation?
it is a great boat, very stable for a small dinghy moving forward.
Que dimensiones tiene este bote😎💪👍
hi there, its 18ft by about 5 ft
this is a good test thank you so much. real world test
Sounds loud. How does it compare to the gp 3300i?
Did you use it for fishing already? And did you add something to attach an anchor?
Hi there, i just use it for popping to the public dock about half a mile away to pick up bits. I now have an electric outboard on it which i will make a video about it in a couple of months. cheers Mike
I had a 2021 DF20AS3, it was the worst motor ever. I followed everything in the manual that came with it and it overheated on me. Wearable parts are not covered under warranty. I had to install a new water pump myself for over 40 dollars with all the kits and pieces that Suzuki wants to sell you. My motor had under 30 hrs. All the dealership would do is hook it up to there computer and run it saying it had no issue or look at anything then charge me 200 dollars for nothing . Ever since the beginning of ownership it never wanted to pump water right or on the first pull. Suzuki's customer service is not existent. The customer service you get from Suzuki tries to blame you and say it is your fault. The dealerships do the same thing "Oh you must of gone through sand!" My water pump started to melt and the metal plate base looked like it had burs. There wasn't any sand or debris. I had no scratches on that motor at all. I sold it at a huge loss. After I installed a new water pump it pumped water better than the first time starting it. I don't think their is much to quality control since mine didn't seemed to be built properly the first time. Please avoid Suzuki motors they're terrible!
Hi there, Yes this is my first and last Suzuki!!!!!! I am running an electric on the dinghy now and though slower its nice using clean energy and not getting your hands dirty with petrol.
Thanks a lot for your video ! I am very interested by this aquamarina ! I wonder what the size once deflated and folded ? Thanks in advance for your answer ! And happy new year !
hi there, at 1:25 in the video you can see the size of the bag i brought it to nassau in before going up to abaco. BA took it as sports luggage!!!! not that much bigger then a standard hold all.
You forgot to mention what you had it plugged into 🫠
Salut c'est bateau mieux que hydro force 330 ?
sorry i do not speak french
@@bahamasoffgridyou can translate.
Known problem. Overheat problem due to undersized cooling passages!! Suzuki refuses to acknowledge. My 9.9 is dead with 52 hours
Want year is your 9.9
Came for the starlink instructions Stayed for the comedy 😂
Do you think I can use this for fishing?
yes, i am getting an epropulsion spirit for it and will fish with it off my island. i will make a video.
Fab! Loving the 360😅
Mine had same problem. Found it to be the impeller. It was in pieces and melted the housing case. All fixed now. Thanks for your video.
Do you think a tent could be based on this dinghy somehow?
Hi there, I would use an inflatable with rigid floor or slatted metal floor if you are going to be sleeping in it with a tent / cover etc.
Quality looks really good through a quest 2 VR headset. It's clear and the audio is also pristine, hope to see you upload more
Thank you for watching and your positive comment!!! I will do some more when I am back in few weeks. Mike
Great video. It's a really new brand for me. How do you feel about building quality and durability of this dinghy? Thank you.
Hi there, i really like it. its been in the sun for other a year now and still looking good.
You should use a garbage can full of water to flush it with some kind of flushing solution. Flush it for at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes
I have a 20 hp lean burn, constant mid throttle range misfire, poss fuel starvation, tried everything, bugger all from Suzuki, thinking of scrapping it for spares, risking my life to take it out. Several acquaintances have had similar symptoms caused by different problems. Suzuki never respond with help.
Hi there, sorry to hear that. 5 hours after I sorted first issues, I had misfires and cut outs. In the end I put some more oil in, more than manufacturer recommends, and it works fine now no issues. I don't trust it anymore so I will go over to electric at some point. cheers Mike
How can I contact cust service to learn how to unstow my dish for restarting my service?
well the 2 strokes are basically the same engines…… but the 4 strokes?
I found that I had to calibrate the Delta Pros (and any batteries you may have to go with it). I think this is a major part of your issue here, for my Delta Pros give exactly what they should in power and longevity once the software is calibrated properly. Also.... unless you need EPS.... turn it off. It uses power in the background also. To recalibrate... Charge to 100%. Unplug all power inputs (solar, and anything else) Run the battery until it stops giving power. I found that the Delta pro stayed a '0%' for HOURS.... still pumping out energy until it finally stopped giving power. LEAVE ALONE for at least one hour. Charge up fully (with solar or even from the Grid) Do not draw power whist it is charging up. Once at 100% you can use as you normally would. Do this once and it will probably be enough to recalibrate fully, but you may need to do it 2 or even three times. This should solve this problem. It did so for me, and I read that it has done so for many other people. This info should really be in the manual. Probably will be in the future! Good luck!
Should we run it with the inverter on or off to recalibrate?
I have same problem with Suzuki dt15 2storke
Hi there, Was it a impeller issue or low oil?? Regards Mike

Can’t hear you”!
Where did you buy the Yamaha?
Hi Will, I bought it locally from Adam Love in Hope Town
I’ve seen this holding the dish out for it to stow in quite a few UA-cam presentations and it is totally unnecessary. I thought this was a bit clunky for such sophisticated piece of technology and I was right. Where ever you have it set up, and turned on simply stand next to or near the router, go to the Starlink app>>>settings>>> scroll down to stow>>> then click ok and watch it do its thing out on the lawn or wherever. Then just pick it up and bring it inside. Easy as…
The video is titled "How to Stow your Starlink unit without using the app" Without the App. Starlink App does not work on Android and support at Starlink sucks atm, so lot of people, like me, are trying to find out how to stow it without using the App.
this doesnt work if you are using ethernet with bypass mode, on the newer dishy at least
I had the same problem. I changed the impeller, plugs, oil. Didn't solve my problem. Then I changed the fuel filter. That was it!
Hi David, I am glad it all worked out for you. I had another red light issue, the dip stick showed i had enough oil, though i put some more in and it was then fine. regards mike
Bro ive a similar problem since ever new motor its the link ua-cam.com/video/Zifo7YP3wy4/v-deo.html do u think is the same issue? impeller? i try with 3 diferent propeller the issue continue
so i had this issue again after i changed the impeller. The oil level dipstick showed fine but i put more oil in it anyway and the problem went away and now it runs fine again. regards mike
@@bahamasoffgrid how much more? the up lvl and half of the point 1 to 2?
@@JavixseeN I will let you know, I am in the UK now for a few weeks
I bought same motor in crate. Flawless functioning motor. Fresh water only. So far ! I also bought a 25 3 cyl. Same, flawless. !
hi there, that's great news!!! i hope it stays flawless for you!!!
Hmmm what cargo
Any idea why the impeller blew in the first place? especially since it was brand new practically? I did hear you mention something about sand?
Hi Clint, no idea why it blew, though as my dock is not finished i have been beach landing and just assumed sand was something to do with it. I switch off the outboard and pull it up in good time before the water is too shallow but apart from it being a manufacturing error i have no other idea. at that time the outboard was pretty new also with less that 20 hours.
Thanks! You can not hold and put on the table)
It floats! Good Job! 👍
thanks Moe, its nearly finished at the boatyard with the new 70hp motor so ill stick a video on when i pick it up in a few weeks.
This is awesome! I like the drill rig they used to bore the holes and the way he used his bucket as a paddle!
Thanks Jason, yes the barge went quite fast under bucket paddle power. They were a skilled bunch.
Looks like I have a similar if not the same motor but my impala looks fine it spins properly when the main shaft is spun any ideas why I'm not getting any water to the motor?
My plate looks clean but it didn't come with a gasket (when my uncle bought it he bought it as is and told me it didn't need one) so I will make a gasket for it tomorrow and see if that changes anything
@@levi9kirk hi there, how did you get on with the gasket fitting?
@@bahamasoffgrid the gasket wasn't gasket didn't fix it I heated my impala up and it molded back to its original form but that didn't fix it either I found a hole in the wall suzuki shop ( the only shop in a 50 mile radius of where I live lol ) and just bought a whole water pump kit and that fixed it im pretty sure the impala wasn't strong enough to push the water into the motor it works great now 👍
Hi there I had the same problem it will be the water ways in the head blocking . I run a brick acid diluted down in a drum of water and run for 3 hours and let the water get pretty warm and this will break down and salt or debris inside the cooling system. I also used stain remover for cloths with this process. Now mine is running perfect, hope this helps 👍😃
In my case of red light problem I stop the engine and restart again. The engine runs short and the problem came back. How is this in your case?
Hi did you find the problem with your Suzuki df 15 👍
Good luck
