It just cancels the attack and resulting weapon cooldown. Different melees have different movement tech, and some are similar. The pulse blade is extremely well-rounded. But you still have to go through the melee swap animation when switching to your punish. Being able to fluidly time that between other inputs is the way to get that punish out in time. The timing can be extremely tight if you have to also melee cancel with your punish in order to close distance for a charged attack like with the bunk. Whenever they close the gap on you like that with melee tracking-- it looks like all one heavy attack-- but the forward movement is gained by using a light attack and canceling it with a QB, and immediately going into a charged attack as the momentum carries you to your target. It's like 10x the effort for the sake of style and awesomeness. Although it's really powerful in the right hands, it's picking an uphill battle almost every match.

These ones are for better tracking and recoil control. Basho arms have the best melee stats for sure, but they are also incredibly clunky. Most of the time people use bashos either while trying to be as close to the target as possible (BVO), or while using hand missiles (they don't get affected by any of arms' stats, just your FCS)

Make sure u switch before quick boosting. If you qb hit switch then let off the charge shot it dosnt always switch

W build having so much fun with it. May try experimenting with other melee weapons to go with the pile bunker when I get time.

It's a bunking montage yes. Shield builds are an extremely hard counter to this build and makes it more less useless. Laser Tanks are also very tough to deal with also. You'd think people would be satisfied with an S rank and use fun builds to test out, not sweating for a number 1 S rank in a dead ranked game but I guess I was mistaken. But anyways it was fun seeing what this build can and can't handle. Shields 100% fuck this build up lol.

Shield builds automatically counter the build. You'd be 100-0'd if you didn't have a shield. You are locked behind a build.

If you had a shield and you won 10 and lost 1 to a melee build, that's a skill issue on your part. How do you invalidate someone's whole setup and still lose even once?

This game is strange when it comes to the net code. Sometimes it feels like random luck. It's similar to when I face other people. I'll hit them with my sword directly but the hit will not register.

There's 2 things you might be doing wrong. So you need to switch to the bunker before you shoot the Harris and as for the bunk I press light bunk, boost, heavy bunk to keep that momentum. It will take alot of practice to master the combo. The combo is to charge the Harris, heavy hit with the sword, boost and switch bunker, let go of Harris charge, light bunk and boost into heavy bunk.

@@EnderKnightz I'm guessing the light bunk is to start your momentum in the right direction before QBing?

@@EnderKnightz I spent an hour in the lab trying to nail Trainer with this and I finally hit the bunkslide before it recovered just a moment ago! Devious combo, knowing to cancel the weapon swap with the harris shot is big. Time to go completely drop the combo and eat an assault armor punish a bunch of times in ranked :D
