@@IlonaSzombati-zt4wx YVW - sure miss seeing them on the nest... We can see some of them periodically - via The Owl Pole Cam - up on Iris' tree. Sometimes eating a fish, sometimes just perched over there. ~They're out there doing their osprey things, but yes it's sad to not see and hear them.❤

🤣Re Daddy ospreys, right? 😂 ~I hear you re our precious Antali - I think there are many of us out here who feel protective of that character. However, remember the genes he has. Remember he is a fierce osprey hard-wired for survival. Think of when he finally turned on sister (bless her) and claimed the nest as his, refusing to let her land on HIS castle, ever again! Think of the times he has lunged at Dad, telling his father also, to get off his nest. He has it in him. There does indeed seem to be something very vulnerable about that bird, I get your concerns, I have them too. But I tell myself all those things that I shared w/you... ~~All we can do is hope for the best for all of them. We know the odds are against them, especially juvies, so it's scary to consider all of that. If one is a praying person, one can certainly send out prayers and wishes of protection and continual good health to them all. Their lives are no different than ours in the sense that life is a precious gift and no one knows how long each of us have to be here. ❤

@@DLionheart Thanks for the words of encouragement! I am always overwhelmed by the fact that the juvies have to migrate with only their instincts to guide them. What a daunting task.

Just another of those mysteries in life that we will never know the answer to. How on Earth do they JUST KNOW? It's incredible really. They just know when to go. They just know where to go. UNBELIEVABLE. But real. The fantastic distances that these birds fly off to - all over the world, these osprey fly off to VERY far away places. There are no words bec it truly is unfathomable. ❤

Hi Zen! I do remember all of that. Finn was so funny. I saw some people online getting very upset with Finn when he would take a fish back! 🤣They were like (understandably so, considering some of history Iris endured) worried that Iris got another male who cannot be counted on. I really think he would just forget he needs to eat too, then he'd remember and go for the fish. Too funny! It always made me happy to see that he had eaten some of the fish FIRST, so then Iris would be able to feed the kids and herself and RELAX about it. 😂😂😂😂 He matured SO much over time and he's truly become the bomb! ~That sounds awesome about the white tailed eagles! FOURTEEN FISH?!?!? WHOA! 😯😲🤩 "Grew up in the life of luxury"!!! 😂😂😂😂They're a gorgeous bird as well. Thanks for sharing that fun story! 🥰

YVW - Just watched Antali do this same dance a little bit ago on the livestream! 😂 He's SO funny! I think he's playing! I mean all kids play! 🤣 ~Finn IS doing a fabulous job - it's beautiful to see. 😍 ~~I have a video clip of Iris up on the stadium lights on the 10th as well as a clip of the last time she was on the nest which was the 9th. Eventually, when I get to them, they will be posted, so we can all see it. Yes, we hope she has a safe journey to her migration place. ~~~Sum-eh MIGHT still be around out there - we cannot know for sure. If I lived up there, I'd be going there, walking around a LOT, as much as I could, using binoculars and searching all over. It would be nice to know if she was still there or not. ~~~~We're gonna miss them ALL so very much!♥ Thanks for watching! 🥰

FYI - That was fish1, delivered around 9:18a which was still sitting on the nest where it was left. ~He had eaten 2 other fish by this time bec Finn just kept them coming!

P.S. All kidding aside, he truly is acting as he ought be at that age. He's about to embark out there in the wide open world, all by himself. Never mind the insanely long journey to wherever he may migrate to, but the odds are sadly stacked against them. He needs to be acting just as he is, to help ensure his survival out there. 😉

And her soft chirps to them melt the heart every time. What an incredible season indeed! Finn is also endlessly fabulous and dedicated. No worries - have you seen how many times wild child Antali has come to the nest wet? He's trying! Some of the young osprey may catch fish pre-migration, but from all I've read - it seems it's more common for them not to, then they will learn once at their migration places. ~YVW - thank you for watching and for your compliments. 🥰 Yes, it IS sad knowing they will all be leaving soon.... ♥

@@lilim9887 Go back to 12:31:25 - She came to the nest, clearly thinking her hubby Finn was coming right behind her w/the fish she knew he had. We hear her doing the "fish is coming!" vocalizations plus backing up, as if making room for Finn. But wait! He did not come and she looks shocked about it, looks around for him but no Finn coming. Then, no time to wait bec here comes our wild boy Antali and off she flew! ~If you check "The Owl Pole" livestream, we see there Finn had flown to the tree with his fish. He enjoyed some of it, then came in to deliver the rest of his fish to Antali. ~~So though it was sad Iris didn't get that fish as she thought she would, it was wonderful for all of us to see = she is still in our views! YAY! 😍🥰

'Not Antali on the tree then bec we can hear him vocalizing from the nest. 😉
