The mid range waterfowl needs more coverage, didn't feel like a good explanation

The close range double slash gets little attention, even though it comes out so fast, If you're next to her its almost impossible to dodge 8:07. At RL1 its instant death which makes it even worse

If you ever read this; MFING THANK YOU. I’ve set a goal of beating her less than 51 attempts. I’m also a poor on ps4 UNPATCHED. Yeah, I killed Rahdan in 5 hits but she does water foul as first move often. She def has more health too

Ya know I’m a poor and playing ps4 unpatched and she just did water foul as her first move when I got close. Her AI is ruthless from start. Kinda sucks but at same time I killed radahn I. 5 hits. Summons took over quarter of his health before I got there.

I finally beat her yesterday. I was so excited to get that Waterfowl attack with the sword. Then I tried it on the content after this encounter and noticed that when initiating the attack, the enemies easily interrupt it. Which we couldn't do when taking her on. The game really nosedives around this point, though I do believe that nosedive took place once getting past Leydnall. Total shame. Game was great for many hours. Then it just gets absurd.

She made me tweak

Her standard double slash is what gets me the most. I dodge the first slash only to get hit by the 2nd it’s too quick to dodge. I don’t get how you’re getting enough space to dodge the 2nd part.

This boss is not even that hard. But her first phase alone has combined health of Radagon and Elden Beast so it is a bit ridiculous when she gets almost fully healed at phase 2. If she had like 20% less health I would consider this boss fair.

New game +3 took me around 5 hours, she’s pretty easy once you master her move set, using a shield completely counters waterfowl dance, bloodfiends arm destroys her, phase 2 is kinda rng

So I've only just started fighting her for the first time and I know the game and this video are already a couple years old but there's some things I worked out while fighting her last night. The attack in phase one where the sparks come out of her prosthetic arm and then she does a bunch of slashes. You say roll past her shoulder and roll again. You can actually roll into this attack and punish and she doesn't finish the combo. At 24:50 you say don't double heal, but I've been squeezing two heals in here and then rolling that sweep attack no worries. Not that it's done me any good because I'm still stuck fighting her lmao. Hence, being here getting some pointers but I think I've worked out all the stuff you mention just by trial and error. My problem is consistency. I just need to keep trying me thinks, I'll get it eventually. I got this far. Great video though!

just recently beat Malenia on m&k and it was extremely hard dodging the waterfowl dance. I'd get it maybe 1 every 10 tries up close. Also, if you're not confident in dodging up close, when you deal 20% to her and you know shes about to do the dance, you can use a kukri to force her initiate the dance from a far.

ay dude I know ur video is a lil bit rusty it has rust of time and new patches but now this heo is ssooooooooo fkn aggressive after her 12 or 20 attacks she gives me only two openings to attack

I would rather Waterfowl dance be a rare attack so it feels like something new you’ve discovered rather than the game basically using cheats.

This boss is horrible, a simple broken movement finish you off in a blink of an eye! i Dont wanna spend 2-3-4-5 hours to LEARN on how to have a chance to beat a boss in a video game! Completely unnecessary difficult!

so much headache :(. Maybe i have all bad karma or bad luck with this boss. I've tried all the techniques to DODGE her first wave of flurry attacks, I've watched 10 video guides including yours, try to copy your technique by running circle around her butt to escape her lock while releasing the camera. I don't know why in my game she has super tracking and i still can't escape her first wave of flurry AOE, i still trapped because she's like a super tracking missile steadily chasing me. That's enough, I don't have any other way to win over this boss, I just parry her using a medium shield which is also able to block the first wave of flurry physical attacks quite effectively. I need 6 hours to beat her.:

Well... NONE of this matters anymore as far as I can tell... The game's been updated too much and all this shit is null and void.

You can trigger the waterfowl from far away by throwing a kakuri or dagger, if she doesnt do it then move in and do some more damage

I'm not very good at this but so far I haven't been hit by the spirit clone attack when I just run perpendicular to her until the attack is done. Maybe I've just gotten lucky but so far it's worked

I can't yet deal with the waterfall dance during the second phase. I end up with rot when I survive it. This fight is so unforgiving.

I just recently started eldenring, my first souls like game. I have reached malenia and I learnt that she does a waterfoul when she like 45 to 50% or below, and another one at about 30 to 25% or below, it’s not 100 percent consistent but it lets u predict when she gonna do it about 70 percent of the time, all u gotta do to avoid the first flurry is run to like mid range throw a dagger until she does one then run from the first and dodge the rest

I've never heard anyone talk about the pillar under her before, and that honestly explains so much of the trouble I've had with the attack. I always prefer learning by understanding how something works rather than being told to "just do this", and this video definitely helped with that. Thank you.
