I had to cut ties with some friends because they turned into horrible people. I'm only friends with one of the middle school friends and didn't make any friendships in highschool. It feels weird but even tho we don't have the same life objectives and haven't talked in a few months I still consider him a brother and I doubt that will ever change. I felt the same about the other friends but things changed sadly. It happens.

52 year old man here, I could weigh in on this. Looking back I can see how many people came and went. I've cut some off and at times I was the one who was cut off. For the most part, as you grow and change people will drop off and new people will show up. A very select few will be around your whole life, those are your people. You are the sum total of the five people you hang around with the most. Choose wisely.

As a day trader I totally agree with you! I got no results for 3 years straight. I didn't see any REAL results until my 4th year of trading. I went through all of the disappointment, sadness, and frustration. However, I never gave up! I knew that the only way to achieve my goals is to become the person I want to be. As simple and as cliche as it sounds it changed my career for the better.
