I was a piping student of your grandfather. He was such a great man. You are carrying on the mantle of a grand musician, like your dad and grandfather! Well done.
Nice video Matt! I like seeing the clips of the band marching.

This is so good. What kind of mic are you using?
Thanks! It’s an AKG P420, nothing too fancy.
Horns on top, where they belong. REPRESENT!
Not bad…
So fun to see the Harriman boys again! Hurrah from Vivian in Texas.
Ich würde 10 Daumen rauf geben wenn ich könnte!!
Danke!
how did you do this all by yourself… it sounds amazing
Thank you! Just took it one track at a time!
It's the jerseys. Clearly they are from outer space, left here by unknown aliens, who traveled back in time from the future, so that one day when found, the finder would don the jerseys one by one and take on a super power of his or her choosing. Matt, being interested most in world peace, chose the most important superpower of all - skillfully playing any brass instrument that he held in his hand, and producing youtube videos meant to bring disparate cultures together. Mission accomplished! Now all this video needs is about 8 billion more views and the world's problems will be solved. Share, like , subscribe, ring the bell, leave a comment to do your part.
Clean and smokin’!
Thanks! A lot of fun to play.
this is a great performance!
Hi I was just wondering how your switching from trumpet to French horn is as they are quite different embouchures and I have a lot of trouble with it so I was just wondering how you do it
Hello, Trumpet to French horn wasn’t horrible for me. The only challenge I had was that while my trumpet chops gave me quite an easy high range on the horn, I struggled with the lower range. Recording the instruments from my strongest, to weakest is how I can mask playing issues on my weaker horns. I started with trumpet, then French horn, tuba, and lastly trombone.
I love this. Thank you.
Thank you!
Matt this was absolutely wonderful! Loved it.
Damn Matt!!! It’s obvious all that tuba playing has immeasurably improved your trumpet chops ;) Just kidding. Oh my goodness that was so awesome. I love your horn sound on those ascending slurs too. Magnificent!
I’ve actually found that the bagpipes have helped all my brass playing, especially low brass! And thank you so much! This is one of my favorite tunes, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
@@mattharriman4436 that’s awesome. I do love your pipe playing too!
Love this stuff! Full of tradition, creativity and good taste. Always show it to my pupils in my arranging class
Beautiful!. So crisp & tight!! Love it (I had a smile at the (2) end trumpets, both foot tapping, one in half time & the other in common time!)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Meee toooo lol
Bruh who's here from the guided listening
Stan Kenton just looked down and smiled.

Dan Twaddell thank you!
That was awesome. Great sounding pipe! I am impressed
Thank you kindly!
Is there any way I can have or buy a copy of that 1st Alto part. I love this arrangement.
The arranger is Shawn Purcell, currently a member of the US Navy Band. I would ask through them.
