    For a BEST TENT review the list of tents you have here is very limited. A lot of great tent options been left out and price isnt always the indication of quality. Very poor video, get similar information from those AI voice top 5 videos.

    where are you buying these k1's from they are £75 in many supermarkets around me like the range and b&m right now and the k2 (2 person one) is £85 and you have the k1 at £400??? I remember last year they were selling for that exact price also because I almost bought one but my partner said I would never use it so I never got it lol but man it's not because it's been a year it's because where you are buying these you are being ripped right off!

    Puzzled to be here to defend the humble thick pvc walled easy to inflate, cheap as chips Intex Challenger It is tough tracks ok and packs into a small portable bag Whats not to like against the £800 Razor, snobbery?

      I don't get it he even says in the vid it packs down smaller because it's made of weaker materials but that's a plus in the pack down category right? yet he gives it 3rd to last place????

    DONT Put intex kayaks in "Best inflatable" . These floating Coffins are Beach toys. If someone want to have a good first on water experience it is probably the worst tool to make a begginner happy.

    I don't get it how a inflatable Kayak can be better than a foldable one, because you have to pump them up with a noisy compressor or by hand. With the RAZOR Edge Pro, I unfold it, attach the clamps and sliding pieces and I am good to go. Using it since a year now and have been sliding above boulders, trees and other hard stuff, except a few marks it is undamaged. My guarantee runs out this spring and especially for sea kayaking, I will attach a fin. The seat is a not that comfy but I took a sports matt and cut it into shape, that's it. My winner is clearly the Edge Pro.

      your Razor is a made in China with lower quality material knock off of the original ORU kayak which is very well made and NOT in China.

      "I don't get it how a inflatable Kayak can be better than a foldable one, because you have to pump them up with a noisy compressor or by hand." Bro it takes 2 mins and the electric pumps are like talking volume these days lol how old are you? "The seat is a not that comfy but I took a sports matt and cut it into shape" There is a massive downside that inflatables don't have, you had to mod yours just so you can use it lol "I unfold it, attach the clamps and sliding pieces and I am good to go" sounds like a lot more work than attaching an electric pump to an end and watching it blow up.

      @@originlgazza5925 ''Bro it takes 2 mins and the electric pumps are like talking volume these days lol how old are you?'' So you like to create a noisy surrounding for anybody at the beach for example? The most air pumps are quite loud or need to be powered by a car. What's your freaking problem, because my age should be not in your interest at all. ''There is a massive downside that inflatables don't have, you had to mod yours just so you can use it lol'' Lol, because you place your butt on a inflatable seat. ''sounds like a lot more work than attaching an electric pump to an end and watching it blow up.'' Yeah and you need to carry the pump around with you in your kayak which I don't have to do at all. If your inflatable gummy boat gets punctured, you're kind of lost in the wilderness, forced to repair it like a bicycle tire. :D

      @@gloppy101 Bro, the most of that is BS. Sure, there is a Chinese knockoff which they copied from Razor. I'm not their production leader but China is still known for copying blueprints they receive for their counter-fit production. Your ORU will not be made in the UK or even Europe, because of the production costs involved to do so. There is even not a similar model from ORU and be sure, I checked their Kayaks. The wall thickness is lower and I prefer to have the option of installing a spray deck. Besides that, not registering your own name properly, shows me that you care a poop, same as @originlgazza5925 . Before you guys play cool, manage your life first.

    Why did you give the naturehike such a low score on materials?

    • @the-equipment-guide-uk
      @the-equipment-guide-uk 9 місяців тому

      Hello @hogey74 - the materials on the naturehike aren't terrible, the low score in the Construction category was primarily due to the design of the tent. The pole structure is weaker against the wind than if it had a crossbar and the slope of the walls means there's not a lot of living space or headroom. Excellent video and a good comparison! I have an Advanced Elements Convertible and an Itiwit X500 (single seater). I almost exlusively use the X500 now. It has a similar speed in the water, is a tad bit more maneuverable and is far easier to setup and pack down. It also doesn't need care after packing it down. I wipe it clean and dry with a sponge and towels and pack it away. The AE Convertible needed to put to dry after each trip, so you had twice the amount of packing and unpacking per trip plus the AE needed longer to set up and pack away. Meanwhile I have figured out on how to pack the X500 for multi day trips. Whilst it can store a bit less than the AE Convertible, it is more than sufficient for 3-4 day trips if you pack a bit smartly. For me, the X500 is the perfect inflatable in terms of price and capabilities. I also have an Intex Challenger K2, which I used for quite some time at the beginning. Unfortunately, a friend of mine overinflated it and it burst at some hard to reach places.

    I know there is no Itiwit X100 for 1 person currently, but I wonder how you can rate the X100 version in between the standard 100 and the X500.

    • @the-equipment-guide-uk
      @the-equipment-guide-uk Рік тому

      Hello Lilee376, thanks for your question. The X100 would rank higher because of the drop-stitch floor, which provides a more solid surface than the floor of the standard 100.

      Hello Taematoe, there definitely will be water coming into the kayak if have have the drains open. I generally use the drain plugs while kayaking, then remove them afterwards to let the water out when packing away.
