its basically used for integration of all the thematic maps. i just add these thematic map by multiplying some weightage value.

you can statistically detemine the valu or by visual inspection. firstly collect data of the boundary which feature you want to highlight then you calculate the statistics of the collected data.

in AHP methods lets say you are taking geology, slope and aspect as influencing parameters. in this method you need to compare and between two parameters in the scale 1-9. as we know geology is a highest controlling factor of Landslide, so in comparison to aspect u give 7 or 6 to geology. as slope has also a lots of control on Landslide you just give 2 or 3 weightage to Geology in comparison with slope.

hi Zohaib, i thought every input parameters in my model have same weightage thats why i gave 0.33 for each thematic layer. when you are giving weightage make sure the total addition should be equal to 1. however for weightage calculation you can use AHP, logistic regression, ANN methods which is quite acceptable.

After colour slicing of raster image, it will be rescaled into class 1, class2...., you have to know what is the value range of iron oxide occurance in your image and in which class you are taking it. then this class can be exported to polygon file for further study.

So that,'s mean there is no absloutle value for iron, i have to know it from previous studies or i may need cerntain analysis
