Our true nature is to be at home in nature.

Shiloh & Reli's Evolving Play Dynamics 2024
The bay horse in this video is Shiloh, a 9-year-old Mustang. The sorrel horse is Relicario, a 14-year-old Columbian Paso Fino. They've been friends since Shiloh arrived at Unbridled 18 months ago. In the beginning, Reli was pretty timid around Shiloh who is not only a super confident horse socially but also has a much better command over his own body and physical abilities than Reli does. It's been beautiful to watch how Shiloh has slowly and patiently been mentoring his more-domesticated friend to grow in confidence during their play sessions while always honoring and respecting Reli's physical limitations.

Horse Scratching for 5 Minutes

This is Relicario. What you can't see is that there's a scratcher attached to the fence post behind him. Reli LOVES his scratcher. This is him using it for more than 5 minutes straight.
Busted Again!

Who else has a horse who does not like being video'd? I completely understand a horse not liking cell phones. I have no doubt they emit energy, vibrations and signals that can be disturbing to horses! That said, Shiloh doesn't seem to have any problem if I'm carrying my cell phone in my pocket... even if I'm playing a podcast and he can hear it! But from the day he arrived, Shiloh has gone out ...

I know it looks like Shiloh is relentlessly "chasing" Reli but don't be fooled... Reli totally started this play session and he has the power to stop it whenever he wants. Shiloh always honors Reli's "it's time to quit" communication. Reli loves seeing how long Shiloh will follow him around. It's their little game!
Inexpensive Mud Control for Horse Farms!

When I discover farm-life hacks that work AND save money, I'm always excited to share! I've been testing out this method of mud management for several years now and I really can't say enough good things about it. Plus, it's FREE!!! And it's good for the environment because the end result is it breaks down and replenishes the soil. 😍

Raise your hand (or give this video a thumbs up!) if this is one of your least favorite "farm chores", especially when it's already 85 degrees and humid at 9am?! But, even the least enjoyable farm chores are better when you have moral support from "helpful" friends! 🥰 Original music credit to Tisziji Munoz.

I have always wondered: What do horses think and feel? Are they anything like Bojack Horseman?
I'm fostering an abuse case palomino QH mare ex rodeo mount that also has PCOS, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Talk about marishness. Her cycles are erratic, short, long, or a combo of all three. There are times I don't know who I'll meet for morning or evening feed. In the space of a few hours it'll be " Oh, moi moi, I LOVE you " , or Achmed the Dead Terrorist " I KEEL you. " She can be all over the spectrum. Lotta fun. But in the 3+ yrs I've teased to the surface the sweetness she hid so deep in order to survive. She's come a long way and has a way to go yet but I'm in it for the duration.
And specially their snowpitys
Thanks!

Hallo i from indonesia
I always thought that horses can transform us in better humans❤
An excellent horse, lovely video 👍
Session 4-Kim I’m learning so much about horse behavior which I had no real clue of their seemingly small stress responses! I had a large buckskin quarter horse growing up! I was somewhat scared of him because of his large size at first but learning to ride him was fun & easy until I learned he was feeling poorly because of boil under his jaw which was infected. The vet came out , lanced the boil, instructing me to put blue lotion & hot compresses on the boil until healing had occurred with no riding. I faithfully got up at 5:00 before school to tend to Buckskin each morning & after school for about 5 wks. A different horse after I got back on-aggressive & bucking if did not get his way! I wish I had known these stress responses - I never punished but really was a trial & error basis because I had no instructions! You have such patience & wisdom. Thank you
Hi, I have to give a presentation and was wondering if you would permit me to use a screen shot of this horse enjoying the salt block. Thanks!
Thank you for asking. I’m happy for you to do that for educational purposes.
Donde queda me interesaría saber nesesito unas yeguitas ❤❤❤
Hey wussup Kim Mills… Great Great content, and Congrats on your platform!!! It’s been YEARS since I’ve seen you… you used to take me to go pick up my daughter, we’d ride from Durham all the way to Fayetteville NC.. OMG!! ❤ 💐 😊
That is so cool.
Puck's like "What? I like it here "
Thank you...

Hey! It’s me!
You're famous!!! 🙂
Why is Shiloh in the small pen by himself again?
Thanks for following Shiloh's story and asking this question. The good news is, he's not! He's happily (and permanently) integrated with the whole herd. This is an older video from when Shiloh first arrived that I just made public. Most of the video footage I capture of Shiloh only gets shared in my subscription membership community (The Kinship of the Herd). After a while, though, I do make select video clips public for those who follow me here on my UA-cam channel. 🙂
Cutie horses!
What is the name of the song?
It’s an original guitar score by my friend Tisziji Munoz.
i love your horses
Perfect! Guess I don’t have to feel so bad when I get a bit assertive when horses have to be attended to by the Farrier, I sure don’t do any of these dynamics😂❤
Very interesting. I need to know how it went, sis!!
New and love it
This is so beautiful Kim. The smile on your face is pure gold!
You should not be promoting the use of cattle licks for horses, they cannot get the proper amount of salt from those per day, instead LOOSE salt
Excited to follow your new adventure 😊❤
Chido 😁😆😃
I got bitten by a spider when I was 5 because I messed with it, I was asking for it 100%. However I've been bitten by a horsefly and they persist for no fucking reason
Wow that is steamy poop
Facinating
I recognize all the stress behaviors, but I also think they’re pain indicators in many cases…. I’m assuming you’ve had her checked out multiple times with a vet and done bloodwork? I recently had a gelding that engaged in this obsessive licking behavior, for hours sometimes, ended up getting diagnosed with ECVM.
I’m so sorry about your gelding’s diagnosis. Yes, because of Tempo’s coffin bone cyst and 8-month stall recovery there was A LOT to sort out with her body. Still sorting some of it out, to be honest but she’s sooo much more comfortable in her body today. No ECVM for her, thank goodness…
And yes, she gets regular vet checks, blood work, body work, has well balanced and healthy feet and is seen by a craniosacral & natural balance dentist. 🥰
This made my morning!! Raylee is excited this morning!!
