The past is history, the future is a mystery, this moment is a gift.
Happy people are not people who “feel good” all the time; they are the people who are able to be guided by their negative emotions rather than paralyzed by them. My intent is that the episodes of this podcast allow you to become happier and reminded how were all connected in overcoming insecurities, searching for purpose and striving for joy.

Waldorf Astoria Chicago | 2024 Hotel and Room Tour
Waldorf Astoria - Approx: $412/night Room: Junior Suite w/ fireplace.
Location: This location is ideal for someone who wants to immerse in shopping for high end items. Within walking distance wandering Hermes, Dior, Cartier, Prada, etc. The area was fairly off the heavily trafficked area, and I found this to be peaceful, but maybe this was only due to my season of the visit.
Lobby, Entrance, Staff: The Waldorf has polite but not overly exquisite customer service, the entrance while spacious does not feel very elegant. I soon learned there were residents here (people who owned condos in the building or were long term guests) and this helped me understand the ambiance. It feels like a luxury apartment not a luxury hotel.
Room: The room I stayed in while spacious, and overall decent was not noteworthy. The baseboards were worn, the carpet did not feel nor smell clean, the bathroom was ultimately the highlight of the room. The bathroom did have a soaking tub, and spacious shower, as well as a nice privacy glass division between them. The bathroom is the most grand and luxurious part of the room. The beds were nothing special, the couches and chairs, felt very used, uncomfortable and simply not special.
Pool/Gym/Spa: The spa floor here is AMAZING, the staff greet you directly out of the elevator, they are engaged and passionate. Granted I did frequently find a few to be on their phones and chattering (while I understand they are human, some of these things would be not seen at other hotels of a hotel employee on snapchat while you shop the spa items). The gym equipment was great as well, very clean, water stations filled and organized overall. The pool I found to be small, and great if empty, however due to the echo and overall lack of space, and enjoyable setting could be ruined by a family with kids entering. The pool space is minimal. The sauna/stream room/locker room I believe takes the cake here, absolutely amazing atmosphere, clean, tidy and very relaxing.
