The impact the Eva leaves in 2.22 is better but the running in 94 really shows off how heavy an Eva is. Both versions have their strong and weak points.

I still prefer the old because the amount of details that can be seen. while the other is blurry and some are CGI

The only thing better is the Angels, way more menacing and behemoth looking, old one looks like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Other than that, old version is impeccable.

Anime back then was built different

Okay while I’ll always be a fan of anything pre digital, the new one does something’s really well. Like the particle effects coming off the angel while he’s blocking it. And it actually showing shinji is submerged ina liquid, that really sells the scene well.

Really rebuild looks so goooood... Minus the angel. The complete scene is better in rebuild imo, the way Shinji runs and jumps plus the music as well overall Rebuild better
