Steamrail Victoria operated The Vintage Train to Castlemaine with R761, to celebrate 40 years since 761's return to service in preservation.
Before following the train returning to Melbourne, we took a quick trip up the Maldon line with J549.

Steamrail operated shuttle trains from Ballarat to Lal Lal Block Point over the weekend of May 25th and 26th - as part of The Ballarat Heritage Festival. locomotives K153 and A² 986 were used as motive power. This video is of the Sunday shuttles and the transfer train back to Melbourne.

Daylesford Spa Country Railway 'Railfan Day' 8/11/14

DSCR held a railfan day on November 8, 2014. Diesel loco Y159 hauled a short freight to Bullarto in the morning, returning in the afternoon. Railmotor 63RM ran two passenger services, also to Bullarto. Photostops were held throughout the day and a bbq lunch was provided. The day concluded with a photo op of all the DSCR's operational fleet and quick tour of the storage shed.

That massive wheelslip at 1:42 :) was standing beside the Lean St crossing as that happened and it sounded great

Nice footage So some of the PB line crossings have boom gates now. At least they put REAL bells on the crossing for a change instead of those crappy 'CRANG-CRANG-CRANG' electronic things :)
I agree. Those e-bells sound awful. At least with the mechanical bells, you could hear them and they give plenty of warning if a train is approaching

Yes. This was the last heritage movement on the Bendigo - Inglewood line. In fact this was the last train to go on the Bendigo - Inglewood line before the floods came and washed half (if not) most of the track away.
