Appreciate that you all took the time to make this video, so I’ll take a minute and add my perspective. Coming from a background as a social worker/psych tech that spent several years working for non-profits in Tucson AZ specifically w/ the homeless population and sitting on a panel supporting our mayors efforts in the Coalition for the Prevention of Homelessness. I observed many food banks, and the behaviors of those who took their food from the banks. Mass majority of my clients could have provided for themselves had they chosen to, or been required to. I watched them scam volunteers often. I watched them lie about their household demographics in order to get more free food, so they could sell it for cash to support their drug habit. I strongly urge people in this type of work to be vigilant in only providing these free items… food, phones, housing, etc… to people who are TRULY in need and have no capacity to provide for themselves. Otherwise, you are only serving yourself, not actually uplifting others. Hope this message is understood👍
