what an amazing breakdown!!! I thought I was a Miyazaki fan, following interviews etc, but what you've connected together while visiting actual locations, has felt like the entire package! There were so many parts of Spirited Away, whose symbolism I didn't understand, and how they all fitted in, but I think you've done it!! Thank you for satisfying a many-years-long itch to understand! Thank you! (Please can you do Howl's Moving Castle, and The Boy and the Heron too - they are also so highly symbolic)

At 6:25 this perfectly explains why the whole town in Spirited Away is just the backdrop Overtown it's not a real town it's like a fake little town
