    I live in St George and I’ve been looking at this particular tent! Is it true that bugs can get in? Other reviews say this tent has 2 very large gaps on each end of the hinges? Thank you.

      @l13sofp St george is a great place! Yes and no, bugs can get in at the hinge part of the tent, but usually the mattress covers the hole ( 1” diameter) pretty well. Has not been a huge issue for us and we have camped in some muggy buggy places. If you are creative you can cover them easily

    I see you keep your bedding in the tent, is there any additional storage space when folded?

    • @WalkerAdventureMedia
      @WalkerAdventureMedia 7 місяців тому

      @garyglunt6233 Not particularly, the bedding- a 1” memory foam mattress, 1-2 blankets or 2 sleeping bags is kinda the max on this tent. We can’t keep our pillows in the tent, so those have to ride in the truck with us.

    It is a rooftop tent and you do not have it installed on the roof of your vehicle.....so some of your criticisms really don't have anything to do with the product itself. It doesn't work as well as you imagined it would simply because you installed it on the bed of a tiny truck and not on the roof of a vehicle.

    • @WalkerAdventureMedia
      @WalkerAdventureMedia 11 місяців тому

      @unshakentomato5609 I had a local fabricator make them. All in with labor and metal it cost me $300 for all 6 of them. They are 2.5”x2.5”x.25” square tubes made into connectors. This enabled the 2” tube to slide in with little slop.

    Thanx for that. Pretty similar to how I feel about our roof top. I do have to carry a ladder tho. I’m 5’4”. I’m climbing and do it mostly while I’m on top of the tent. Condensation is a problem. I have my tent on my truck year round. We are in the older age so picking it up to the truck every time is not practical for us.

    • @WalkerAdventureMedia
      @WalkerAdventureMedia 11 місяців тому

      I haven’t had much issue with condensation except for in the winter, but we live in a dry place. After putting the tent on the trailer it is a game changer! So much better!
