If you can loose your salvation due to your “works” (which the Bible calls filthy rags), then literally nobody will go to heaven, especially John MacArther. And I love how he doesn’t show any Bible to prove what he is saying. Salvation is not at all by works (otherwise nobody would go to heaven because all have sinned), and it is impossible to loose you salvation because God promised us the gift of eternal life which cannot be taken away. You are calling God a liar if you think that you can loose your salvation! Many scriptures show that followers of Christ must endure faithfully to the end in order to be saved. Matthew 24:13 says: "The one who has endured to the end will be saved." Revelation 2:10 says that we will be fully tested and that we need to prove ourselves faithful to death and only then will Jesus give us the crown of life. Why would Jesus tell his followers more than once to "keep on the watch" if they are “once saved always saved”? 2 Peter 2:20 (NIV) says: “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.”

This is sad to hear. Without “hearing” God convict me and reveal to me my wicked ways and lostness I wouldn’t have known him. He corrects me when I’m wrong and convicts me when I sin and what he reveals to me is exactly as it is in his word. John 14:26 says The Holy Spirit teaches us. How does he teach? I’ve not heard an audible voice but it’s a revelation in my soul and not at all an emotion or thought.
