The rebranding of this channel will happen towards the end of January 2025 🥳
You color really good
Thank you ☺️
I recently started using a 5 dirty water jar system with my watercolours. I have blue, green, yellow and brown water and clean water. That way, if I need a wash in my art I gave 4 options before I even wet my palette. The jars I use are stainless steel, airtight and hold 60ml.
Oh never thought about that! I’ve seen people use one for warm and one for cool colours but that is very subjective of whatever you are using vs what is already in your water. I personally like the 1 for dirty and 1 for clean but the dirty does get dirty pretty fast if I’m using a lot of colour, and it does end up contaminating the clean water… Are they just plain jars or do they have a clip at the bottom to hold onto a sketchers board/sketchbook?
@ they are plain based. But two weeks later and no leaks. A wash ready to go on my new project.
I use the brand “smash”. I think it’s available in Australia and UK.
@Paperthumbtack nice!!! I hate leaky cups 😅
Can you show us the cleaning process ❤
Sure can! It’s already available on my channel 😁
"I'm white, white baby" is all I hear now from Jim carry
😂
That's so good)))
Thank you 😊
Have you tried a Scrawlr Box yet? Which one have you tried?
THATS SO GOOD 10/10 AMAZING
Thank you so much 😊
Nice video
Thank you 😊
I actually love Cotman paints, use them all the time. I don't think they're bad paints at all.
I agree! They are awesome! I was so surprised when I compared a few with the professional range and actually preferred the Cotman 😅
Gta ahh song
😄
Have you ever tried diamond painting before?
It was very dreamy and cute💗
Thank you 😊
I love this video, it got my creative juices going as to what other containers could be used ... 🤔 I'm thinking recyclables ...
Thank you 😊 that means a lot! Maybe something in a metal tin? There might be some biscuits or chocolate metal tins…
Very good, my friend🫶😇
Thank you ☺️
What would you like that I paint next?
Love it ❤keep going
Thank you ❤️
I saw a girl buying a huge box like this to leave her oil brush, like the idea I think in ali express you will find bigger box to fit the long brush.
That would make a perfect studio box! Sometimes I worry about the dust collecting on the brushes I leave in a cup on my desk ending up on my paintings Honestly I tend to cut the handles of my brushes so they are the same length as a pencil. Long handles feel too clunky in my small hands 😅
@@ins.illustrations I think I dont't like big handles too, I just have two long watercolor brush and the last time my experience wasn't good, I don't know the girl I just saw in random way, in her box could fit two in the same line one each side. ua-cam.com/video/80jtjqO3gxg/v-deo.html I think cute but I give up to exposed my brushs and pencils , pens in jars or bottles , I live near 3 park( I think is park the english version to praça in brasilian portugueses) so tthe wind brings a lot of dust , sometimes some sand, and the flies loooooove bristles brush and I have o wash the black spots of fly poop, so they live in a cup in a drawer, when I use I take of the used ones dry in a towel and the cup back to drawer!!!
@aDricalua oh wait you are Brazilian? I’m Portuguese!
As promised here are the close up swatches of the palette I set up in my previous video :) Have you ever tried the Schmincke Akademie range?
Amazing ❤
Thank you 😊
Have you ever tried a watercolour advent calendar before? I didn't knew they existed but they are an incredibly fun way to try a new brand
Happy 2024 Everyone! 🎆
Do you have any watercolour pencil tips? I'd love to hear them ☺
Thats rlly awesome i wish i was as good as you
Practice is the key 😊 anyone can do it!
Beautiful awesome 💜💜❤❤💜❤💗💜💜❤💞❤❤💞❤💜❤💛❤💞❤💞❤❤💜❤💜
Thank you 😊
Yum! It was so fun to watch your process. Thank you for sharing!
☺️☺️ thank you for watching!
Lovely work! You have mastered painting a beautiful sky.
Thank you! Love your username!
@@ins.illustrations Thank you! It's the theme of my keynote speeches!
I'm trying to get better at loose paintings - would you like me to try painting a particular subject?
Hi Everyone! Have you ever tried Emma's watercolours or are you a student in her academy?
It's so cute. I ordered one. The ones in Michael's open flat, so let's see. I figure I can always refill it with another brand down the line if I want.
Oh! Maybe there is a difference between the European and American Sakura koi palettes! Would love to know if yours opens flat!
@@ins.illustrations will let you know, I ordered from Amazon. I do have the 30 set. It opens flat but is too clunky to take on the go
Amazing 😍😍
Thank you ☺️
What did you think of this video? Would you like me to explore more subjects on a future video? :D
Hi Everyone! I hope you enjoyed this video. If you make one of these brush cases for yourself I’d love to see it!
Have you tried Sakura koi watercolours before? What did you think of them?
love it :3
Thank you 😊
so pretty ^^
Thank you 😊
Do you have any other exercises you like to do to beat creative block?
I too love granulating watercolours. The colours here are very pretty. The rose colour is lovely. Thanks.
☺️
These are so well done! Great job.
Thank you 😊
Hi there! This is the 1st video of a series where I'm featuring the Sakura Koi Palette specifically. Would you like to know anything specific about this palette? Let me know in the comments 😊
i could never say smthing bad they so good
☺️
Hi Everyone! I'm back with another video! I hope you like this very quick tutorial ^^ Tag me on instagram if you try this yourself :D
Hey there, would like to see a video on how you dried the paints. I have a bunch of Dr Ph Martin liquid watercolor which I don't use because I realized I'm not into liquid watercolor. Thank you! The galaxy is beautiful
I’ll try to do either a short or a small video sometime in the future about it. I’ve only ever tried this with the ecoline watercolours. This does require some time and it is best to do it during hot (non humid) weather. I basically kept the pans in a container with a lid with small openings (you could use cling film as well and pierce it). I added enough drops of the liquid watercolour to fill half or 2/3 of the pans (to prevent accidental spills if I slightly knocked the container) and repeated the process until all the watercolour was in the pan. I didn’t wait for the colour to dry in between, I just kept adding more as it dried (if it went down about 1/3 then I would fill it back up). The dye will eventually start to fill up the pan so you will have less space to add more liquid watercolour. It is a long process but it does make them more convenient and portable!
Are you using some kind of homemade watercolor journal?
Hi Valerie! This is a sketchbook by the brand Khadi Papers. It’s an Indian cotton rag watercolour paper with a beautiful texture - something in between the usual western cold pressed and rough texture. I do hope to start making my own watercolour journals in the future though 😊
My son loved this video very much! So entertaining! Thank you! Liked and subscribed! ❤
Thank you 😊
Such lovely colors! They really do look beautiful. Also interesting surface you're using for swatching
Agree! The colours are mesmerising! Im using a Khadi Papers sketchbook. The texture is cold pressed but it is definitely a lot more texture than a “regular” cold pressed pad. Im very keen on trying their rough texture papers, it must be wild!
when i saw the thumbnail i clicked immediately
Thank you Annabella ☺️
I recently found out a out that I actually LOVE handmade watercolors. You can just feel the extra care taken with them, and there’s a vibe about them when you receive them because I’ve noticed most paint makers go so far out of their way to add little gifts and samplers and overall just good presentation. When using them, they work so interestingly, especially with paints made in Europe (areas like Sweden, Netherlands, Slovenia) I truly have a special fondness for watercolors that another artist took their time to mull and perfect
Agree! Some of my favourite watercolours are handmade. I’ve tried Paint Wild (by Emma Witte) and Blue Pine Arts so far. I’m really interest in trying A. Gallo watercolours as well. Handmade watercolours just feel different (even if it’s the same pigment/colours). The whole care that goes into them makes the whole painting experience so much special 😊 which handmade watercolours have you tried?
@@ins.illustrations JuliaKArtStudio, Honeybee Pigments, VictoriaChrisCreates, Aquabloom Art, PurePigmentsbyolevra, JulieMaggi, and ArtsyOubliette! My husband gets me gifts and a lot of them are paints and nail polishes, so full appreciation and credit to me darling hubby for my collection! If you want a great suggestion, there’s a BEAUTIFUL blue grey called Disa that should still be in stock right now from JuliaKArtStudio and it’s my hands down favorite handmade so I highly recommended nabbing one before they sell out, I waited all year to grab one!!
@@PinkWytchBytch aww that is very sweet of him! 😁 Never tried any of them! I’ll be sure to add them to my wishlist 😊 thank you so much!
@@ins.illustrations No problem at all! Brilliant colors should always find their way to people that love to create with them and I look forward to seeing your reviews in the future so I myself can learn new paint makers to order from! Stay safe out there (because the world is crazy these days)
zoibu on etsy does the prettiest packaging for the half pans & i love her colours ! really recommend
