Steamoji is a maker academy for kids that trains builders, makers, inventors and entrepreneurs.
Technological change is accelerating. Many parents feel STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) are important to help prepare their children for the careers of their future, but see schools more focused on traditional studies.
Steamoji’s 400-hour “Build to Solve” curriculum is designed to fill this gap in a structured and reinforcing fashion across five subject pathways: fabrication, physical computing, engineering, digital arts and applied design. Students are taught basic skills, then encouraged to practically apply them in a spirit of “Build to Solve”.

Steamoji Camps
Ready, set, explore. At Steamoji camps, kids will learn essential skills with new technologies across all the awesome subjects we explore at Steamoji. From catapult competitions that will engage their engineering-brains to coding and designing an RGB desk lamp, kids get into a growth-mindset and problem-solving zone. By the end of the week, they’ll have become makers, entrepreneurs, and inventors - ready to dream up their next big idea. Let’s get building!

In this mission apprentices are going to take their new CAD skills and use them to design and 3D print a modular pegboard storage solution. Apprentices will learn how to use slicing software for 3D printers, new tools in Onshape and how all of these combine to help us solve everyday problems!
The Digital World

In this mission apprentices are going to take a deeper dive into frame-by-frame animation. This type of animation is a great way to combine artistic styles, use different types of media and bring a story to life. Apprentices will start by creating a flipbook, learning about keyframes, in-between frames and onion skins. Finally they will combine all of these skills to create an original GIF.
Functional 3D Design

In this mission, apprentices are levelling up their 3D design skills as they learn to use professional level Computer-Aided Design software.
