Just add Garth Hudson to that and you're golden
@@michaelfowler3187 if only 💙
Nice playing especially the vibrato way to not over season it
@@michaelfowler3187 thanks brotha!!!
My test for a vintagey voiced fuzz is that riff from Edwin Collins' a girl like you. It's not an old song but they nail that old tone bender type fuzz nasally buzzy tone. My test for a good big muff for the sustain thing is the solo from torn (made famous by Natalie imbruglia) that solo has some long hangers that I had the damndest time keeping from turning to feedback. (Not the good kind)
@michaelfowler3187 oh yeah the test riffs r essential!!!
The Salt Water really is solid. I like how obnoxious it can be, tbh
Yeah it's like an ignorant trumpet or something. Always sounds great in a mix though.
That is a high quality board build my friend. Looks and sounds amazing 🔥
@Sean_Plays_Guitar thanks Sean! It's definitely a fun one, it feels very focused for me. I've always struggled with having the right kind of fuzz and then finally I was like fuck it lets just put every fuzz I love on the same board.
@@music_works That's funny. I have all of my fuzz pedals on my board right now for a fuzz comparison video I am planning LOL! Great minds think alike, and so do ours! 🤣
@Sean_Plays_Guitar 2025 will be the year of the fuzz!!! My absolute two faves are the Benson stonk and this Vick Audio Rams Head 73. Curious to hear what your go to's are ?
@ my favorite is this Dustin Francis made Nick Perri signature called the Feeling Good Fuzz. It was a really limited run and I was lucky to get it. It’s a Fuzz face. The other two are a Tim Cunningham MK1 Zonk and the Marsling Octafuzzdrive by Interstellar Audio. All three are fantastic and different but I love the Francis one the best for everyday use.
@Sean_Plays_Guitar wow yeah I've never heard of that first one! Zonks are the greatest, that's what my Benson one is. And of course gotta have octave. I'll keep an eye out for ur vid!
filthy
Hope you and your friends are ok man.
@steveeldonkerr thank you Steve. It's a mix, but everyone is alive thankfully.
good jobbbbb
@mikasa8598 thanks mikasa!!
What kinda jazzmaster is that? Nice finish 🔥
@@sowiloi made by a guy named Eric, his company is Revelator guitars. He made my tele too, fantastic guitars both of em!
Nice jazzmaster
@Ravineking678 thanks Ravineking! Took a few months to get used to the treble and clarity on this thing (I no longer perceive telecasters as excessively treble-y haha) but now it's becoming one of my main guitars!
heck yeah

Cool. I dig it
@@jstample thanks! Me too.
Wow, wow, WOW!!!!
@@DrUmSensitive miss this pedal!
@music_works this is out of this world! And the song is great, too! :)
@DrUmSensitive thanks for listening! I appreciate ya
Great! It would be nice to know what's going on here. Is it the guitar's feedback? Pedals are self oscillating?
@@giuseppepettinati9627 just volume swells, reverb, and then the HX one is freezing a Csus chord. That and the flint are the only real "effects" being used here.
Benson preamp is being used to EQ and the second pedalboard is not connected, was just using to A/B a setting on my new flint
This is awesome!
@@brianbonifacio7536 such a great band!
I need to find more live stuff
@brianbonifacio7536 their whole debut record is live! Actually really everything they do is live, they record every show they play for potential future release.
Tabs please
@cypstfu i dont have any but it's capo 9 I believe and mainly based around Bm, C, D and G shapes. Low E string tuned to D!
Beautiful 👌🏻
@@CooperTolbert thanks for listening!
Nice man really like this

@user-bc8zi7vv6f thank you! Bit difficult to play on this neck but the pickups had such a clear sound I had to try! A beautiful song and album
Wow it sounds so calming

Great sound! What is the guitar model?
@@avnersitruk2835 thanks! This is a Gibson 335. If a tele can't do it, this is the guitar I reach for.
perfect vibe for a friday
@@steveeldonkerr Glad to be of help : )
like that gold foil pickup👍
@_thegunsofbrixton8039 it's got such a great, clear, tone! It's a vintage Teisco I just learned. Got it back in 2019 I think.
That sounds beautiful!!
@pravamtripathy thank you!! Just got this guitar back, was excited to hear it in action

Great lyrics!
@@poophoe9970 thank you so much for listening poophoe!
so beautiful!!
@Joey-el7ud thank you!! I'm digging it too. Can't wait to arrange with the band
Hey Man ! Would you be able to replicate what Mk.gee is doing ? I know this is not realted to the post. Love your loops as always !
@earthboy1310 i'd need a baritone and a rainger fx reverb but maybe! I feel like his style is the coolest thing because you can't really bite it. Such a unique time feel. Thanks for watching!
@@music_works Yeah man, his style is so unique. Id be interest to see what you can do/ use to replicate his sound.
Love the bullet coiled cables. What's all on the board? A few I dont recognize.
@MisterYeti i thought they'd be a pain on stage but I've grown to love 'em! Never gotten too tangled and no one mistakes em for their cables. Its a Benson Stonk fuzz, an Origin Effects DCX boost/eq/overdrive, a Gamechanger Audio Plus sustain/freeze, the Chase Bliss Generation Loss filter/tape emulator, the Line 6 Echo Park (best multi delay of all time), the Chase Bliss blooper looper with built in effects, and then a Strymon Deco (reel to reel fx such ad slapback, distortion, flange etc) and a Strymon Flint for reverb and trem. I have the Digitec Ricochet (almost a mini whammy) in the fx loop of the Plus pedal so only my drones are octaved/repitched while my playing remains unaffected. And then there is a Saturnworks double fave switch for slapback on the deco and 8o's long decay reverb on the Flint!
So good
@@joshmehrtens thanks so much!

Fantastic! What is your pedalboard/signal chain?
@Plohph1 thanks! Pedalboard is the same one in my most recent video (entitled "Pedalboard!" haha) and I'm just using the Meris LVX and the Strymon Flint.

Love that guitar
@Drew-pd8nt thanks! Eric at Revelator makes the best fender style guitars I've ever played. Got one of his teles too and it's my #1
Sounds great! Sick guitar, btw
@Dockie27 thank you! It's a Revelator Jazzcaster. Plays like a dream.
What pedal are you using?
@willmartin5183 HX one for harmonies, Chase bliss preamp mk ii for gated fuzz! But truly any gated fuzz + harmonizer will do. Done this b4 with many others!
@@music_works thanks!
@willmartin5183 of course! If you can find those old pink T-Rex octave pedals they work great. U just need something that can do octave up, octave down, and clean original pitch simultaneously. For gated fuzz there are fewer options, but the beetronics Vezzpa is a great one.
nice board! the chase bliss seems like overkill for the stage with the multi effects unit on there imo. unless you just prefer the break up from it, you do sound really good though!
Thanks! The overdrives on the hxone are pretty decent but I enjoy the overdrives on the CB pedal more. The fuzzes on the HXone are actually pretty great as well, but I find I usually use the HXone for normal delays, modulation, and speciality effects. I dont know why but I've always been more drawn to standalone overdrive/fuzz pedals than the ones in multifx!
@sunder5686 i think its also a lot to do with how I used overdrive, which can be very subtle and as an always on. If I use the hxone for that, then it wouldn't get used for anything else hahaha. But for overdubs sometimes it's drives are the ticket. Im way more agnostic in recording than I am live when it comes to equipment
@music_works it does sound really good. I guess what I meant to so was aren't you nervous about it being stolen in a live setting? I know I would be . But then again it might be worth it as a preamp live especially if you always playing and on the move, it's so dynamic
@sunder5686 oh I see what you mean! I'm not any more worried about it being stolen than anything else, but also having musical equipment insured can ease the mind a bit.
So many sounds for so few pedals, very smart!
Yeah i was hesitant to dip my toes into MIDI waters, this was my compromise to keep it feeling fluid and easy to improvise with. Everyone's different but for me once it gets past 5 pedals I have to REALLY know them to want them on the board.
