Spoiler alert: So in a recent update, they did add a different ending in case you don't hit the lever in time. Granted, I don't know if it's for the Steam version of the game.

@@GabNPascyes it’s really good. And the sequel is even better. I guess the reason as to why they asked was because yall didn’t know who Gerald was (which is totally fine) or Maria. Which without getting into spoilers. Crazy stuff happens in sonic adventure and mainly adventure 2. Gerald and Maria are also from adventure 2.

@@GabNPasc We have been making games for about 9 years now, but for this specific one was inspired by games like Timecop and Batman Forever on the SNES ahah 🤣 Speaking of retro games, we actually just released "Baby Boomer 2" which is an official sequel to a 35 years old NES game! And it's also in local co-op, you might get a kick out of this one, it's easier to master than Potato Sack Racing Simulator while still requiring lots of skills, you might honestly enjoy it! Especially if you liked the original game 😎🔥
